Ferny's Online Review Report Card

I chose this fertility clinic based on its high-rated reviews, but quickly realized those reviews are likely to reflect only people’s initial visits. My own experience declined immediately after my first appointment. To begin with, the first impression was disappointing. The front-desk Jessica and other staff were openly talking about patients in an unprofessional manner. Although the clinic is located near Central Park, it is shockingly outdated. My first appointment itself seemed fine. The staff were friendly, and I met with both the doctor and the NP. They all came into the room, made me feel comfortable, and completed the necessary tests. The second appointment is where everything fell apart. After my ultrasound, I never saw the doctor or the NP. No one reviewed my lab results or ultrasound findings with me in detail. I felt dismissed, and the level of professionalism I expected was completely gone. When I asked for clarification, they told me the doctor was busy with another patient, but I still received no explanation. I left that day feeling confused, frustrated, and alone. Thirdly, I arrived to find out that they could not locate my ultrasound and lab orders, even though they had been faxed days earlier. I had to call the outside clinic myself while I was on the phone with one of the nurses. Meanwhile, the front-desk staff—Jessica and her co-worker were laughing and making jokes in the background. The outside clinic had to call Ferny and requested to speak with a manager just to ensure my appointment wasn’t canceled and to have the orders re-faxed. Mind you, the manager never even picked up the phone. Before leaving, I gave clear instructions to have my results faxed to the outside clinic as soon as they became available so I could continue treatment. Mind you, I arrived at that clinic at 7:30 a.m., but by 5:30 p.m. the results still had not been faxed. I had to call more than three times before it was finally sent. This level of disorganization and lack of care is unacceptable, especially for a fertility clinic. I would strongly advise anyone considering this clinic to look elsewhere. The emotional toll, the poor communication, and the feeling of being treated like just a number are simply not worth it.

I cannot express enough the disorganization and lack of professionalism of this practice. One star reviews are sometimes overlooked but I truly discourage receiving services here unless you want to receive someone else's test results, be provided the wrong medical treatments, or have your HIPAA/sensitive information be released without your consent.

Review for the Tribeca and 290 Madison Ave locations: I would not recommend Dr. Ahluwalia or her team at Ferny. Communication was very poor. The doctor was hard to reach and seemed too busy to explain things. Her staff ignored calls and emails and provided conflicting information. Even Memorial Sloan Kettering had difficulty obtaining clear records from Ferny related to my care, and I had to spend weeks tracking down details myself. To make matters worse, Dr. Ahluwalia's team sent me sensitive information via email that I never requested. Overall, the disorganization and lack of professionalism caused unnecessary stress and delays in my care.

Very detailed and thorough. Provided all options available and was very considerate with treatment as I’m nursing and needed specific medication.

I would definitely recommend Ferny to any women. The service was quick and staff are kind and polite. Not to mention Dr. Sahani, was so gentle and responsive. Will definitely be coming back.

This is my second year coming to Ferny Fertility for my annual check-up. Udani Sadanayaka and Sunita were great and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire exam. I always feel like I'm in good hands here!
