Please do some research prior to selecting this doctor. He has multiple lawsuits that show a scary pattern. He has a seriously spotty record at best with multiple deaths and serious injuries. His focus is on the money rather than the health and safety of his patients. It's sad that NYU is more concerned with making money that ensuring their patient's safety. BEWARE!!!

I met Dr Fielding a little over six years ago when I maxed my weight at 450 and I pretty much was killing myself with severe morbid obesity issues. He performed my surgery Jan 2015 when I was close to 410 pounds. I m not going to lie and say it was an easy breezy journey because I developed many underlying issues after the gastric bypass , however this man saved my life and gave me purpose again. Not once in the six years that I know him did he not only personally returned all more calls immediately when I called but went over and beyond and checked up on me to this day even when I m not scheduled to see him. He will and always be the most trustworthy, life saving and incredibly humane person that I ever met. To say that he saved my life on numerous occasions would be an understatement. He gave me a life for the first time in 44 years. To him and his entire team, I will be forever grateful and appreciative.Erica Lynn Bloom

Dr fielding is the best in the field. I found him to be honest and froth coming. he is an excellent surgeon - he is in a league of his own, there are great doctors and then there is George Fielding (worth the wait)

Dr. Fielding is a great Dr. I'm deaf and had great difficulty understanding him because he has an accent but his support staff was great. I had bariatric surgery 3 years ago May 12th and I'm glad I did now I'll be around to see my grandkids!

What Dr. George Fielding forgot about Bariatric Surgery, the rest in the field never knew. This guy is in the Big Leagues, and he leads the pack, by a long-shot!!! I interviewed 7 Surgeons before choosing Dr. Fielding. I’ve trusted Dr. Fielding with my life twice, and if I ever need his stellar services again, I would not blink an eye in going back to him. He is brilliant; detail-oriented; a consummate professional with a down-to-earth bedside manner. I thank God for putting folks like Dr. George Fielding in my life, when I needed him most. Tell him P. I would recommend Dr. George Fielding for any kind of bariatric surgery. I had the lap band 14 years ago and lost 80 pounds and have kept it off. He was and still is a pleasure to work with. His follow up is wonderful and he has a wonderful bedside manner.

I would.like to thank Dr .Christina Ren'Fielding for taking good care of me tonight,she is the on call Doctor and went the extra mile.needed to make me comfortable.have nothing but great things to say about Dr Fielding, the only partially negative thing I could think of is his on call service. I had a Nurse Practioner call me back,told her I just had surgery and was having fever and pain and naseau and it had been several days since my bowels had moved. The Nurse Practitioners only medical advice was and I quote "Call back in 4 hours after you have taken your temperature " that's it!!! No take 2 tylenol,no use an ice pack,NOT EVEN GOTO THE ER!!

Terribly disappointing on so many levels, although NYU Hospital nurses are the best around. Google lawsuits before deciding to have Dr. Fielding perform your surgery.
