When I was a young teen I was seen by dr Loughlin who I really liked. Trying to figure out why I was so sick. I was tested for CF but my sweats came back negative. He would later refer me to another hospital a dr there who was a pompous arrogant jerk who thought my sickness was in my head. At the age of 27 I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis and then at 40 it was revealed that I did indeed also have CF. A different mutation. I was looking back at my records that date back 1989 and found a diagnosis of bronchiectasis, but he never told me nor my mother nor did he forward this to any drs. And for the pompous dr at st Agnes that I understand has passed away not once did he tell him in a letter that I was sick did he mention bronchiectasis. I went through almost 20 yrs not knowing what I had and another 13 yrs not knowing the true underlying disease. Nobody should have been put through what I had been. I tried reaching out to dr loughling about a yr ago and no answer no response

You have to see him to believe what I am saying. He listens to my son's lung with his stethoscope in his neck, not in his ear. I am not a doctor, but at least I know that a stethoscope should be in the doctor's ears, not his neck.....duh! I really doubt he is a pulmonary specialist!
