List of Gerow Hair Ink's Reviews
The staff at Gerow Hair Ink were extremely professional and attentative to our questions and concerns.... The practitioners Johnathan, Erik, Chris and Aleetha were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly.... If you either need SMP services and/ or are interested in presuing a career as an SMP practitioner... Gerow Hair Ink is definitely the place that you want to be !!
Gerow is the beat place for SMP. The process is easy and the results are amazing. Beautiful office and excellent staff.
After much research, I picked Gerow Hair Ink for my SMP Training. Jonathan, Erik, Chris and Aleetha were so patient, knowledgeable and had 100% transparency on all aspects of the business. We worked on 2 live models and even saw actual clients being worked on from Jonathan. It was such an amazing experience and I would refer anyone thinking of learning SMP to choose Gerow Hair Ink. Even if you are looking to get the SMP treatment, their work and 5 star reviews honestly speak for themselves. They get 5 stars !!!
This was one of my best experiences on my PMU journey!!! The studio is immaculate, welcoming and very clean. The receptionist very friendly and respectful. I love the fact that they are well organized, professional and knowledgeable. The system they've developed is simple & efficient and very easy to understand. I also liked the fact that we had the opportunity to study online prior class commencement. I loved the "group" experience as well as the personal attention, all my concerns were addressed in a supportive and nurturing manner. I would highly recommend that if you're interested in getting into this industry...Gerow is the place to grow! (no pun intended). I learned so much and feel confident to do my first client after this amazing master class. Chris, Erik, Johnathan & Aleetha are an amazing team and great example of how to win it!!!! A++++++
For me Gerow hair ink is the best l did my section with Erick the number one !!
I recently had two SMP sessions with Jonathan Gerow to cover a hair transplant scar on the back of my head. I was extremely happy with the final result. Jonathan is incredibly talented and meticulous and is very careful to create a completely natural and undetectable result. It is obvious he cares about his clients and wants them to feel 100% happy. His staff are also very organized and helpful with questions and scheduling. I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone looking to have SMP work done.
I was a student at the Dominican Republic location and it was wonderful. Juan was an amazing instructor and made me feel very confident in my work. Myself and husband really enjoyed everyone there and made the whole experience a vacation. I also appreciate the continuing education in the program. I really do appreciate them so much. Thank you all again.
Unethical, Untrustworthy, Dishonest, Unprofessional, Takes no accountability for wrongdoing, Steals your deposit. Hungover SMP artist who reeked of alcohol and was 1 hour and 15 minutes late for my first session. I drove 4 hours from another state for this service, from the self-proclaimed SMP GOAT Jonathan Gerow. The WORST DECISION I ever made was choosing Gerow Hair Ink for SMP as a less experienced artist from a different NY-based SMP clinic removed his 4 sessions of work and, in one session, restored confidence from my alopecia and old transplant scar. During my initial consultation, Gerow called my scar a "Good Scar" and said it would be "easy" with that confidence and 10+ years in the business, so I canceled my consultation with another SMP clinic (which I regret because they knew how to treat scars and fixed his work). Jonathan DMs me, "Hey bro, the only way is to laser to flatten." after two sessions of unsatisfactory results and 2,612.50 spent (since they steal your deposit), Gerow suggests lasering the scar, which he knew was the only way to flatten it all along. Meaning he wanted my money and not the client's best interests. He suggests going darker and doing two more sessions. The final result isn't great, which is why he doesn't post the finished work on IG, just that he worked on an alopecia case and scar. Erik said, "It doesn't look that bad". I replied, "It doesn't look that good either". This clinic charged 3,793.50 for poor results and advice. I spent 1,000 dollars on an excruciating, painful laser removal to have Gerow’s Ink removed. I paid 1,200 at another SMP clinic to rectify his work, stating, “I would have never put ink on your head without advising to laser to flatten the scar.” This is the correct way of approaching a scar; it has had me hatless. Erik and I had a heated 40 minute phone call with back and forth exchanges. I had to call with my neighbors phone as they would not pick up my phone call after initiating negotiation talks with payment to silence me with an NDA. Erik stated “1,700 is better than nothing; we have lawyers go ahead sue; think I care about a review, Trust me you’ll lose more money than me trying to sue” Erik also offered to give me a free touch up. Please see attached photos for email exchanges and who to file to receive your deposit back if they refuse to give it back to you since they will say, “It was taken as payment.” You legally can not take a deposit as payment. That would be considered a down payment. A deposit is deducted from one of the sessions and only taken/lost if the person doesn’t show up since a deposit holds in place an appointment. The difference between a deposit and a down payment is one has the word payment in it. Emails are not contracts they would not write their part of paying me the agreed amount on the NDA. Meaning they were not going to honor their refund for poor work.

OMG! Gerow’s training course was and is exceptional! We worked on tons of real people with all of the common and not so common hair loss and hair loss patterns. They provided us with ongoing resources and support for life! The cost of the course should be much higher! Also, everyone at Gerow clearly loves what they do and their level of expertise and passion is off the charts. Im so excited to begin my new career as a tattoo artist! Thank you, thank you, thank you Gerow!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
