Gouller Alina's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Gouller can be pleasant but tends to ask questions and instead of listening is totally tuned into her computer--no eye contact at all. She never explains what she is doing or why--no discussion whatsoever about what is going on with her patient. She's not open to anything new. Basically, she has a job, earns her income, will never spend more than 10 minutes with you after a considerable wait. She looks at numbers but won't explain what they mean. She never responds to any email messages. It is difficult finding endocrinologists in NYC so she has a busy practice because she will take patients when they can't find anyone else. How can I recommend someone who has never shown concern; her interest is to believe she thinks things are okay without communicating information to or concern with her patient. Being a doctor is her job not unlike a cleaning lady--gets the work done and leaves for the day.

She does not answer your questions which means you have to ask her questions over and over again. The office staff at 52nd Street is truly inattentive and inept. The wait time has been close to two hours several times. They truly make things horrible with all of this. The doctors at 52nd Street are seeing way too many patients and not doing a good time.

At the beginning she was good. Over time she fails to get back to you, doesn't take time, or answer your questions and she is very uneven. Some days you think she is hearing you and others you know she wants you out of her office and is stressed. For this reason, I am going to look for another endo. NYU is falling down very badly.

Dr. Gouller is, in some ways, an amazing doctor (when she's at her best, she's one of the best), but there are too many drawbacks here. The office is one of the worst: you have to wait, not exaggerating, hours, no excuse for this, the communication is awful, and Dr. Gouller can seem overwhelmed and disorganized. It's too bad, really.

I can only say great things about Dr. Gouller. I went to Joslin's Diabetes Center in Boston and during my time with them, my A1C went up and up and they never did much about it. Dr. Gouller within a short period of time got it down to a very acceptable number and for that I am grateful. Sure, I have had to wait a bit or my prescriptions didn't get put in right away but on the whole she and her staff have been terrific. Proof is in the pudding here, she knows how to get A1C down which at the end of the day is all that matters. Shake your feathers back into place. You'll be fine!

Dr. Gouller has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. You wait forever only to be met with an uncaring doctor who simply rushes you through. She could care less about you or what she's diagnosed you with. Zero follow through even though her diagnosis required a great deal of explanation and attention. STAY AWAY!

I cannot believe that the ratings are above an average of three stars. I have had trouble scheduling appointments, my usual wait time is between 2.5-3.5 hours, and my time in the room with Doctor Gouller is less than 5 minutes. She has forgotten to send prescriptions on multiple occasions, once I was hassling her office for 2.5 weeks. Her emails to me after test results have been received are one or two worded. This is NOT acceptable!! If you actually want to understand what's going on with your health and have guidance I would recommend staying away.

Dr. Gouller is knowledgable, caring, astute. But waiting over an hour to see her is intolerable.

Had horrible experience with Dr. Gouller and her staff at NYU Hospital. She send patient to the test and a week later she does not remember anything, not to mention that the test was not necessary at all. Not clear with Dx. Such a waste of time. Very , very disappointed. She gave so many problems for our family. I would never recommend Dr. Fouler to anyone
