List of Gouller's Reviews
She's the only one who actually explained to me why and how my condition is acting this weird way and why different approaches are applied and what's the consequences of each of them. can't say that other doctors are bad but none of them answered my "why?"s before her. waited for 30 minutes for my appointment but was irritated that waited for an hour because showed up early and have an irritation as a symptom of my hyperthyroid, sticking with her!

Dr. Gouller had been very helpful and nice. She made some very good suggestions for me, for that I am very grateful. However, the waiting room has been a disaster. I come on time for scheduled appointment, and every single time wait for one to two hours to be seen.
I first went to Dr. Alina because a good friend told me she has a lot of knowledge. During my first appointment, she was good and helpful requested exams and a follow-up. Today I walked there 10 min before my appointment at 3:20 PM, by 3:55 PM a nurse finally came and took me to the back, 4:05 PM I went to the hallway looking around, and another nurse asked what my name was and said, “Oh, I was looking for you!” at 4:25 PM I walked out of the office without seems the dr. Alina. Look, I am a reasonable person, but waiting over 1 hour without a doctor's explanation is disrespectful. He is in NYC; our time is precious; I was in the middle of my working hour, and I WASTED my time.

I was expecting to take a number in a long lines of accolades here. I am shocked to be the first reviewer for this wonderful doctor. Dr. Gouller is part of the NYU Langone Ambulatory Care clinic on the West Side. Being a patient at large institutions, like NYU Langone, you often feel like a number when seeing a doctor. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am, but without any pleasure involved. Dr. Gouller not only takes her time with you, she's warm, knowledgeable and most importantly - a true thinker. She's interested in exploring ideas you might bring to her and also offers different approaches. Though an endocrinologist, she is interested and invested in you and your total physical well-being. You rarely hear someone say that they are looking forward to seeing a doctor. I was looking forward to my follow-up with with Dr. Gouller, that's how great she is.
She certainly knows her field, but it became my job to suggest further treatment. My condition seems to be puzzling, but it seems she couldn’t think outside the box; she always thought of conditions as discreet. Also, after just two emails, she cut me off with a very generic reply which the system wouldn’t let me respond to. Maybe that was her way of saying “I don’t know.” Could have been handled much better.
Dr. Gouller can be pleasant but tends to ask questions and instead of listening is totally tuned into her computer--no eye contact at all. She never explains what she is doing or why--no discussion whatsoever about what is going on with her patient. She's not open to anything new. Basically, she has a job, earns her income, will never spend more than 10 minutes with you after a considerable wait. She looks at numbers but won't explain what they mean. She never responds to any email messages. It is difficult finding endocrinologists in NYC so she has a busy practice because she will take patients when they can't find anyone else. How can I recommend someone who has never shown concern; her interest is to believe she thinks things are okay without communicating information to or concern with her patient. Being a doctor is her job not unlike a cleaning lady--gets the work done and leaves for the day.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
