Being advanced in age, I have had extensive and always positive experience and results with the Upper East Side H&D Physiotherapy staff. Knee, back and shoulder all were treated very well over the years. More recently I need their vestibular treatment, initially for Vertigo and now for balance and gait. Fanny Chan is among the best in vestibular and I am very grateful to her for my progress. I recommend H&D without reservation.

I fell and tore tendons in both shoulders. The orthopedic surgeon said I would need surgery unless physical therapy worked well enough to allow me to have a normal lifestyle. Prachi Tokekar became my therapist at H&D. She planned carefully and thoughtfully. Throughout months of therapy she presented me with a multitude of appropriate stretches and strengthening exercises, always analyzing my progress and pushing me gradually forward. She has a warm personality and she made each session pleasant, even as I was struggling with the day’s new challenge. There has been great improvement in my condition and at this point it is clear that I will not need surgery! Thank you, Prachi!

H&D is a wonderful physical therapy facility. It is large and quiet. Therapists have their own treatment rooms and there is a large common space with equipment for therapeutic exercises. I have worked with Elizabeth Rooney on two occasions and she is a wonderful therapist. I highly recommend H&D

Dr. Morgan Martin has/is working with me on two knee replacements from prep to recovery. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient,and a wonderful teacher-for form and execution-I have gained a great deal of strength and mobility. .She has successfully motivated me for months and I look forward to pt which I have not at other providers. I highly recommend Morgan for her professional expertise and her approachable and encouraging style. The staff at the UES location are very welcoming and helpful. The facility is very clean and has terrific new equipment.

I heartily recommend H&D Physical Therapy on East 88th Street and Dr Katherine Uy who helped me avoid surgery for a ruptured hip tendon & a labrum tear. Dr Kathy worked with me constantly in a varied exercise program that strengthened the surrounding muscles. She also gave me home exercises that have kept me pain free now that I have finished the program. Everyone else at the facility is pleasant and efficient and though they don’t take insurance they submit the paperwork & my insurance companies promptly sent reimbursement checks. It’s a great facility clean and well equipped and Dr Kathy is smart, talented & dedicated. I just loved her.
