List of Harvey Strauss's Reviews
I saw Dr. Strauss one month ago. After a full exam with x ray he had no opinion of what the issue might be till I had an MRI done . As I was leaving the country I rushed the MRI and had the results sent to him . Now a month later and numerous phone calls to his office he will not tell me what the condition of my foot is till I go to his office again. His office is run by his secretary's who seem to shelter him.
I had muscle contusion on foot, he only did the X-ray exam for me and told me that I had no problems, he refused to offer other exam. Another doctor offered me MRI exam, the result showed that I had muscle contusion. Same feeling with many other patients, PLEASE AVOID Dr. Strauss.
Caring compassionate and excellent Dr.
Very mixed on my opinion of this podiatrist. Last year he properly diagnosed and treated a bunion. This past 6 months I have been in pain with very little improvement in plantar fasciitis. He does not seem to want to use modern treatments
I came into his office and could barely walk with an achilles injury. He sent me to get a series of tests including mri and ultrasound. Then I come back to his office he doesn’t answer a single question I have, offers zero guidance on next steps and how I should handle the injury. Sends my on my way with nothing. Kid you not the guy was a mute when I asked him my list of questions. A few weeks later I found out from another doctor and another mri that I had a torn achilles. Can you believe he missed that?
Rip off. Dr. Strauss recommended an orthotic and brought in BT Orthotic Labs from Farmingdale, NY who told me their price(over $500). I agreed thinking theywere experts because Hospital for Special Surgery let them see their patients. I made a second pair of orthotics myself and it cost me $52 to make. The price I was charged is excessive. I suspect commissions are paid.
Dr. Strauss is one of the most precise professionals I have ever had as my doctor. He is painstakingly thorough and examines and explores all aspects of the patient's current condition. He is not reluctant to deliver bad news, which always seems to have an alternative approach to resolution of the problem. That is the Strauss silver lining of the highly acclaimed podiatrist.
PLEASE AVOID Dr. Strauss. He misdiagnosed me and refused to do the test (MRI) that ultimately led to the correct diagnosis. As it turned out, I had a heel fracture, which I walked on for weeks before seeing another podiatrist who correctly diagnosed me.
E waited over an hour and a half for the appointment. Dr. Strauss was fairly slow in his review. He seemed to be through, but he said he did not think i had a break. Well, i had to get an MRiI and i had a fractured heel bone. Strauss said he could not believe it and gave me a boot that was too small, which rubbed my skin raw. I since changed Doctors. I did not like him, esp since I had to insist on getting the MRI. If I didn't I would be walking around on a broken foot.
For the first time in a while I found a Doctor who listened and validated what I have been trying to explain many other "know-it-alls". He calmed my fears and made a plan and carried it out right away. he is a real human being, a listener and a all-around nice guy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
