Dr. Auran is great in every respect. He has treated me for cataracts, dry eyes, eye infections and retina condition. My cataract surgery was miraculous. I was legally blind- profoundly near sighted. As a result of his cataract surgery I have 20/20 vision including the ability to drive with excellent vision at night. His bedside manner is also excellent including his follow-up contacts and now phone and email service.

I went to Dr. Auran for cataract surgery. Without my knowledge, he had a Resident perform the surgery. A botch job. The lens flutters and I have constant floaters. Auran made me a guinea pig for a student. With his arrogant attitude, Auran should be practicing in a prison.

Haven't yet have a follow up but this is the Opthamologist I've been looking for : professional, courteous, informative, considerate and manages appointments in a timely fashion.

I was not even able to make an appointment. Dr. Auran's office refused to make an appointment unless I could tell them whether I had Blue Cross PPO or HMO. I explained that I had neither - I have a Blue Cross Blue Shield High Deductible Health plan. They were not helpful or nice and refused to make an appointment - even thought I explained to them that it was not right to refuse to make an appointment until I faxed them my insurance car. I was really hoping to see Dr. Auran as I had just had iol surgery out of state and was in pain and was hoping to see a doctor in the city. This is a shame because Dr. Auran has great reviews.

Superb doc and a real gentleman. He's my regular eye doctor but also repaired rare metabolic cataracts in both eyes when I was in my early 40s. Excellent outcome each time -- you couldn't asked for a better eye surgeon.

One of the best doctors I've seen. He did a cataract replacement on me and I cannot abide doctors who treat me as stupid. He gave me lots of information, answered my questions, and talked me through the operation. I'd recommend him to anyone.
