Dr. Church is a wonderful and knowledgeable doctor. He is very calm and explains things in a simple yet informative manner. He took care of my problem and I am feeling much better after the surgery. He was available when I needed him and he made every effort to treat me as soon as possible. Greatly recommend, his is an outstanding surgeon with many years of experience.

I’m writing this on behalf of my boyfriend, who for the previous 9-10 has been in so much pain and discomfort, being referred to several various doctors from Mass general to Portland Maine. Everyone dismissed him as “having it in his head” Fed up, we looked to see who was the best colorectal surgeon to handle fistula,etc-we researched and discovered Dr.Church. We drove from several states to see him and it was worth the hotel, gas and every expense between. It was not “in his head” Dr.Church performed surgery on him and He is a completely different person. While he still has a couple weeks to heal, I would 100% recommend Dr.Church-I’d do it before he retires..again.

Such a caring skilled doctor. He will be surely missed as he retires and goes back to New Zealand. Such a great doctor he saved my colon and I had the pleasure of his skill 3 times in 2020. The absolute best doctor ever. Thank you Dr. Church I will forever have you in my prays.

He is and was my best doctor ever. I’m so sad to know he is retiring and going back to New Zealand. But he will forever be in my prays. His staff and him were the best ever. There is no replacing this caliber of staff and doctor. But I wish him such a great life and thank him from the bottom of my heart ❤️.he’s an Angel.

My husband and I have both been treated by Dr. Church and he is amazing!!!! Totally puts a patient at ease, explains everything thoroughly, and takes the time to show sensitivity and kindness without making a person fearful of asking questions. Incredible doctor. The Cleveland Clinic is so fortunate to have him as a representative of their facility.

I have been a patient of Dr. Church's for several years and the last surgeries he did on me was in 2008 he tryed to make me a J pouch so I could have my ilestomy reversed but was told later he had to stop after 5 hours because they lost me on the table and then I had to have another surgery because He told me I was bleeding out faster than they could put it in me and when they took me back to surgery I was told I had a hematoma clear across my abdomen and that it was a miracle I was there some time later talking to them so I think Dr.James M. Church is a Wonderful Doctor if not I wouldn't be tellling this today !! Thank You Dr. Church.....
