He’s professional, caring , and most of all brilliant After going to 4 different docs I flew from Florida to see him. I told him I was going to be his biggest challenge. He laughed and straighten me out in one visit. Just remarkable!

Was sent to him by a Diagnostic Rock Star to confirm a rare diagnosis. He refused. I was ultimately diagnosed and treated for it years later. I am heart broken by his treatment of me.

I was referred to him by a medical ROCK STAR he refused to confirm the other Dr. diagnosis for a rare disorder that I was ultimately diagnosed with and treated for. I reported him my suggestion is “Run the other way” most arrogant doctor I have ever encountered.

I went back over my list of old doctors and the reviews for Jeff Mechanick are quite funny. If you want an excellent endocrinologist (and I am talking top 1%) see Dr. Mechanick; but if you want a doctor who will spend his time brushing back your tears and playing kissy kissy, then Dr. Mechanick is not your guy. I saw him for some twenty yesrs (almost from his opening of his practice)!until I moved to Florida in 2008. He referred me to my new endocrinologist down here and we have been very happy. So go if you need a top doctor visit him. But if you’re a hypochondriac stay away!

This Dr. almost ruined my life and I still have nightmares after all these years. It was such a horrible experience I refused to go to Endocrinologist for years. I was sent to him by an amazing Dr. to “rule out Thyroiditis and sub-clinical Cushing’s “ which I was subsequently diagnosed for TOTAL missed by him!!!! “We don’t look for a Zebra in a pack of horse’s” He demanded that we concede that he was the smartest Person in the room!! We refused! We did report him to the NYS medical board.

I've been a patient of Dr Mechanick for almost 18 years. Is he always in a great mood? No, but I know I always get his attention and the best medical care. He looks at the details and delves into what is happening to determine what is going on. I trust him with no qualms, so much so my husband goes to him as well. Kills me, but he's always been right.
