Got an appointment promptly. Great office staff. Surgery got scheduled efficiently. Dr. Port explained all my options and the procedure in detail. He did 'under-explain' the recovery time I would need but then again that differs from patient to patient as nerves were involved. Very good surgical skills. Surgery went smoothly without any complications. Doc did reschedule the post-op appt. to remove the stitch earlier than originally explained as he had to go on vacation which probably resulted in a mild infection for me but overall a very positive experience.

Had thymus removed 4+ years ago by Dr.Port & everything is great. So much confidence in this man from the visit I knew I trusted him to do the surgery.

My husband was diagnosed with a malignant mass on his lower lobe in October… Dr Port and his staff were amazing from beginning to end..They reassured us and were angels…I Thank God for Dr Port, And everyone on his team…

Dr Port was not my surgeon and the only advise I can positively provide is to interview with 3 surgeons, Lung cancer diagnosis can wait a few weeks before surgery. . And I recommend that Dr Port as one of the three surgeons as part of process on the path to lung cancer recovery
