List of Jian Shou's Reviews
There was no way for me to reach Dr. Shou on the portal and he never followed up on me after a complicated surgery with serious post surgery issues.
I checked into the ER on Friday morning Nov 4th with an acute lower abdominal pain, spending the night in the hospital. It seemed initially like a surgical problem, so Dr. Shou was the supervising doctor and prescribed Augmentin for what seemed to be some sort of yet-to- be-identified infection. I had an in-person appointment with him on the 8th, but after a physical examination, he ordered an ultrasound scan of my right testicular area, and referred me to Dr. Li, a NYPH urologist. I initially thought Dr. Shou's manner was abrupt and hurried, but I now think that was based on a cultural misperception. I was impressed that he called me a few days later to see how I was. As it turned out, he was right; I had epididymitis, for which a more targeted antibiotic was prescribed. In short, I think Dr. Shou is a highly competent, careful and conscientious physician.
The doctor observed my condition and realized it needed immediate attention. He scheduled surgery for the following week. Explained everything to me as well.
Went to ER with acute appendicitis and was operated on within hours. Service was excellent at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr.Shou and his surgical team provided excellent care . He and his team explained the surgical procedure fully so that I had no issues.
I had a good experience with Dr. Jian Shou
This is my second surgery with Dr Shou for different operations over 10 years. I would not trust or have confidence in anyone else. He is meticulous! Clearly communicates with the patient but best of ALL with your family immediately after surgery . Kind and gracious! Great follow up to make sure all went well. I highly recommend Dr Shou IF of course you need his services. Great team!
Great Experience with Dr. Shou and the staff at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. From parking our vehicle, reception, medical staff are all considerate and attentive. We drive 170 miles to see him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
