Jimmy C. Sung's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Sung is very nice, professional, and patient. I enjoyed our conversation. He answered all my questions clearly. He cares about patients very much and recommends the tailored facial care treatment to achieve the best outcome rather than expensive but useless treatment. The environment is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff are friendly and responsive.

Dr. Sung is an exceptional physician who is kind, personable, and highly talented. I have been coming to Dr. Sung for about two years now, and he is by far the best doctor in NYC. I can honestly say that I would recommend this doctor to all of my friends and family members. My initial goal for going to Dr. Sung was to improve the overall health of my skin. I had quite a bit of sun damage and was hopeful that Dr. Sung could help me improve my overall complexion (and he exceeded my expectations). Over the past two years, I have seen my skin texture transform from dull and lifeless to youthful and vibrant. Dr. Sung has helped me regain self-confidence- I no longer need to wear makeup (just sunscreen), as I am happy to embrace a more natural look. Dr. Sung is everything you want and need in a doctor- he is warm, precise, and a perfectionist. Dr. Sung has always treated me with the utmost respect- he goes above and beyond to ensure I am comfortable at my appointments, and his office staff is pleasant and attentive. The office is immaculate, and he has a state-of-the-art operating room at this location- which is pretty rare in NYC. It is worth noting that Dr. Sung never tries to upsell unnecessary procedures like many other physicians in NYC. As a patient, I am appreciative of Dr. Sung’s knowledge and transparency when it comes to explaining different practices. I love that he is always willing to pull up research regarding various procedures- this information is so helpful for patients who are not as knowledgeable about the maintenance or long-term benefits of the different techniques. I recently tried the BBL Hero skin treatment, and my skin looks fantastic! I am so grateful for this doctor, and I would never consider going anywhere else. It is also worth noting that this is the only doctor I felt was worth writing a review for. I had such a positive experience with Dr. Sung, so I will always be a loyal patient of this practice🙂 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I had an excellent consultation with Dr Sung, he was very detailed and listened to all my questions and concerns. He was patient and we as great discussions on different services he offers. He is very personable and professional. I decided to go with Pico laser for my face and we have don't a couple other services as well. Each one I have been thrilled with the results!! HIGHLY recommend.

Trans women, please beware. Very uncaring and transphobic staff, including Dr. Sung. Repeatedly misgendered my partner when she was coming out of a very long surgery which was very triggering for her, and made excuses for it. The woman at the front desk was not understanding when my partner spoke with her, dismissing it and saying "these things happen." Dr. Sung also made many transmisogynistic comments/unsolicited "advice" towards my fiance, some I personally witnessed, that were completely out of touch. The most humiliating was when he told her to put conditioner in her hair and wear makeup, in front of his cis female staff right after she got out of an 8 hour surgery and was heavily drugged. She has just begun her surgeries and does not "pass" yet so she doesn't feel comfortable until she's further along, as she has anxiety and has experienced transphobic comments towards her. His lack of sensitivity and tact was truly surreal. She's since continued her feminization surgeries with a female dr who is much more genuine, kind and professional as is her staff. They have never misgendered her and treat her with kindness and respect. The after care of the surgery couldn't have been more night and day as well. He also took her st*tches out with someone else's bl*od all over his scrubs, then left a few in, despite saying he had not. Dr. Sung just wants your money and is not an ally despite saying he is, nor is he able to take constructive criticism, instead choosing to attempt to undermine instead. He even went so far to have another trans woman write a review attempting to refute literally everything my partner experienced/cited in her review, the day after we posted our reviews, which was absolutely disgusting and obviously not a coincidence. I've also skimmed his reviews and there's many that are most certainly fake (where the person reviewing has done only one review). When they reached out to see if my partner wanted to continue with surgeries, she let them know why she wouldn't, and they didn't respond.

I rarely write online reviews but after six whole years of working with Dr. Sung I realized a testimonial was long overdue. Dr. Sung has kept my skin looking amazing with a judicious use of the best technologies at hand, from PRP facials to the latest BBL laser. (I work in tech so love geeking out on why he has chosen the machines he has and how they work. And boy, do they work!) Dr. Sung is also an incredible listener and has the most caring bedside manner. In fact, he has talked me out of things I requested that he thought were unnecessary. He’s done the same for friends (and I have referred quite a few). With that said, I have done many treatments over the years and am so glad I’ve invested in my skin with Dr. Sung. Oh and his team is professional, friendly, and keep the (gorgeous) office running on time. I could not recommend Tribeca Aesthetics more.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sung's for more than 3 years. He was recommended to me because my dermatologist caused my eyes to look uneven via botox. After visiting Dr. Sung, he not only corrected the issue, but I learned that plastic surgeons understand the muscles more than dermatologists. However, Dr. Sung specializes with the skin, so since then, I've had several procedures (laser resurfacing, opus plasma, vampire facial/PRP, etc.) and every time I leave his office, I receive so many compliments on my skin. He takes his time with each patient to understand their needs or concerns. His bedside manner is one to write a review about. He is always professional, but also extremely approachable, and his entire team is amazing. They always follow up after I've had a procedure to make sure I'm pleased with the results, but also feeling and looking good. There is no other doctor I would recommend for plastic surgery, enhancements or the skin.

Dr. Sung was kind, caring and extremely detail oriented. I had consults with several other plastic surgeons and none of them took the time to truly listen to what I was wanting to do the way Dr. Sung did. He was very generous with his time and made the extra effort (both in and out of the operating room) to make sure I look great. I'm extremely happy with my results! Dr. Sung, the Anesthesiologist and the office manager all gave me personal phone calls throughout the entire process to check-in on me and make sure I had all the support and supplies I needed for a successful operation and recovery. I have to mention--I happen to be part of the trans+ community and I feel that Dr. Sung made extra effort, in part, due to my identity because he seems to truly care about the LGBT community (No doubt he's great with cis patients as well!). Also, shout out to Yvonne at the front desk! She's wonderful, personable, professional, and just the coolest.

Dr. Sung is hands down the best doctor in NYC. I have been seeing Dr. Sung for two years now and my skin has been feeling amazing ever since. The staff at this office are warm, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Sung always takes his time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions; he goes above and beyond to ensure that I feel comfortable and well-cared for during my appointments. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and I feel confident in his abilities to provide me with the best possible care. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Sung to anyone who is looking to improve the quality of their skin. Dr. Sung and his staff are all top-notch professionals who truly care about their patients' well-being. This is by far the most reputable practice in NYC!

Over the holidays my father said, "Wow, your skin looks terrific." I was shocked. He rarely notices anything let alone skin texture! That's thanks to Dr. Sung. He's an aesthetics artist and extremely personable. The whole staff at Tribeca Aesthetics rocks, too! I strongly recommend!

Dr. Sung is one of the best doctors I’ve had experiences with. He is extremely patient and addresses all his patient’s concerns at any time. He is very dedicated to his work and has a great sense of humor. He also puts perspectives into your motivations behind each procedure which is very genuine and not a salesman. He truly cares about his patent’s well-being inside out. His entire team is very kind and patient as well. I highly recommend Dr. Sung if you are in New York City looking for a skilled doctor!
