Dr. Ausiello is one of the BEST! Dr. Ausiello is one of the BEST Doctors I have ever visited. He has been insistent that I follow up with his directives. He has managed my thyroid condition with relentless care and concern. I am much better!
Dr ausiello is just above in beyond caring knowledgeable nice and very smart !! Thanks from j. Shama
Only for the receptionist...I called the office and they said I already need a diagnosis to see the doctor?? that makes nosense.
If you’re looking for a good endocrinologist in NY city you are spoiled for choice. Don’t waste your time with this guy. He is arrogant, condescending, and difficult to deal with.
If i could give 0 stars i would. Dr Ausiello was the most condescending disrespectful doctor i have ever met. All he did was mansplain everything about thyroid that i already knew and interrupted me every time i tried to answer a question he asked me. I would not recommend him if you are a woman dealing with thyroid and hormone issues. Never again will i bring my business there.
Quick to conclusion, slow to reason I was looking forward to getting some help from Dr. Ausiello. Unfortunately, I received very little. Medicine and health are complicated, but Dr. Ausiello seems to believe they are simple—that whatever he says goes. He quickly cuts you off and then speaks slowly.Overall, I wasn’t looking for a superstar doctor; I just wanted someone who could provide a little more insight than I already have. I’ll keep searching and hope this saves you from a similar experience.
Brilliant doctor I genuinely don't understand the negative reviews on here. Don't want to discount anyone's experience, but I've found Dr. Ausiello to be a caring individual (first time while going over my family medical history a doctor told me he was sorry for my loss) and very, very smart. He is not always going to go for the most obvious thing; he considers all possibilities and keeps you abreast of his thinking in a clear and thorough manner. I felt like my condition was being monitored closely and carefully at all times. He also writes you right away when results come in (which I appreciate).
I am the caregiver to my sister who has an arsenal of physicians… out of all of them I have to say that Dr. Ausiello is by far and away the most attentive and caring of all. On top of that there is no doubt in my mind that he also on the top of his field.
My fiance accompanied me to my first and only appointment with Dr. Ausiello. I had to ask Dr. Ausiello to introduce himself to us because he started talking at us without doing so. Throughout the appointment, Dr. Ausiello frequently interrupted me to text on his phone. He would either start texting without saying anything while I would be talking to him, or he would "excuse himself" to text. Dr. Ausiello would often ask my fiance if he had anything to add regarding MY health or look over at my fiance in an expectant manner once I was done talking which was very patronizing. Another thing to note - Dr. Ausiello did not review any of the records I had sent over to his office for my appointment. He wasted so much time reviewing my records for basic information that he could have ascertained prior to my appointment. He dismissed my concerns about a calcified thyroid nodule that was found recently and based his opinion on statistics. Overall, very rude, inattentive, and provided subpar care.
I was seen on time. Dr. Ausiello is smart and kind. I don’t feel rushed and i always leave my appointments understanding what and why things are happening to me. I highly recommend Dr John Ausiello for his expertise in his field of endocrinology.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
