List of John Sorenson's Reviews
The reception staff processed each new arrival quickly. The technicians who performed the vision tests and screenings were welcoming, courteous, and professional. The same applies to the technician who prepared my treatment by Dr. Sorenson. As a long-time patient, I have total confidence in Dr. John A. Sorenson, one of the leaders in the field, who has maintained my visual acuity for over ten years.
He has preserved my vision for 35 years. Wonderful doctor..and person.
Dr. Sorenson made me wait at least 2 HOURS(!) before even coming in to see me, preferring to delegate nearly everything to hateful technicians who despise the patient, and, in my case, caused severe pain to my septum and the bones in my nose when my head was literally pushed from behind by a nasty technician against the metal camera bar, for taking the bright light pictures of my eye! Sorenson had no desire to hear about or document my symptoms, which obstruct the ability to see out of one eye. He rushed through the dilation process with so many drops that I had a bad reaction, causing both eyes to fog and stay dilated for hours, while the obstructed eye got much worse. My exam report was fudged by the doctor to make it seem as though no problem existed, to avoid providing any treatment, and instead, bilk the insurance for a meaningless "consultation." When my eyes continued to be clouded, and the affected eye hard to see out of at all that night, my call to Dr. Sorenson's service was totally ignored by him. This doctor and office are beyond bad, and a total waste of time.
Substandard Care, in a Patient Mill Atmosphere! Dr. Sorenson made me wait at least 2 HOURS(!) before even coming in to see me, preferring to delegate nearly everything out to worthless, hateful technicians who despise the patient, and, in my case, caused severe pain to my septum/bones in my nose when I was literally pushed against the camera lens clip for the bright light pictures of my eye! Sorenson didn't want to hear about my symptoms, which obstruct the ability to see out of one eye. He rushed through the dilation process with so many drops that I had a bad reaction, causing both eyes to fog and stay dilated for hours, while the right eye obstruction is now much worse. Sorenson's staff is unsupervised and manhandles patients, as I experienced first-hand. Med reports are fudged to make it seem as though no problem exists to avoid professional treatment, allowing the bilking of insurance for a meaningless "consultation." This doctor and office are beyond bad!
Excellent service. Staff very helpful to get me an appointment. Dr. Sorenson did a thorough exam of my eyes and was able to make me feel confident that my issues were going to resolve.
went here when my previous retina doc retired professional, personable, and thorough I could not have asked for a better experience nor a more complete explanation of my issues
I had to have a macular hole repaired and went to see several surgeons both in Florida New York . what a wonderful experience it was with this office and Dr. Sorensen . I highly recommend them the entire staff is courteous the office is a maculate and where I had the procedure Clean , professional .
Most of the staff are great. The billing and appointment folks could use some improvement. The doctor is an expert and a great surgeon, but he does not answer questions as fully and specifically as I would like.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
