Such a garbage experience. I booked through zocdoc uploaded all of my information and requested an appointment when booking with zocdoc the appointment is a request the office later confirms. I put in the forms I don’t have a referral and they confirmed the appointment anyway. Several times. I come into the office this rainy afternoon and the front desk woman says you don’t have a referral so we can’t see you. You’d have to pay out of pocket or reschedule. I said I wrote in the forms I don’t have a referral and you confirmed it anyway and she said well we have no affiliation to zocdoc we don’t see the forms you fill out. I said why would the patients know that, and she responded it’s your job to know your insurance, I responded I know my insurance and that’s why I uploaded my insurance information, how should I know you don’t see that if it’s requested. I added, if it’s such a strict referral policy why wouldn’t you call your patients ahead of time and say we have no access to your zocdoc file, do you have a referral or you can not be seen she then responded well the girl that was supposed to be doing the confirmation calls yesterday is not here so I can’t check with her if she called you. Zero accountability and somehow it falls on the patient to confirm and check things the office doesn’t seem to care to.
