NYMI took me in at short notice, very friendly, courteous and helpful reception staff. Friendly doctors and staff, very quick results sent to my primary physician.

Very well run office good staff on time appointments efficient no parking

My mom and I have been getting ct scans, sonograms and mammograms at Maklansky for over 15 years. Always had the best care, experienced technicians and the doctors are absolutely wonderful. Very compassionate and thorough. They make you feel incredibly comfortable and safe - at least that has been OUR experience, every year, for the past 15. I wouldn't even think about going elsewhere. By now, I trust them entirely.

After being referred to this office for a cat scan by my doctor, I almost cancelled my appointment due to the negative reviews. Due to urgency, I kept my appointment and everything was fine. I asked a lot of questions up front when I made my appointment about how long to expect, I’m glad I did because I was surprised to find out 2 hours. (This was my first time having anything like this done) I arrived about 15 min early for my 7:45 appointment, filled out my paperwork and was immediately instructed to drink the contrast beverage required for the test and told I had about an hour to do so. About 1 hour later I was called to the back to get ready for the test. I was all done in about 2 hours 15 min, slightly over the budgeted time. I found the tech who hooked up my IV and the tech who performed my cat scan to be competent and caring, putting me at ease. The radiologist could maybe be described as abrupt, but it didn’t bother me. Only moment I was slightly uncomfortable was being in a robe in a hallway of cubicles with men and women all around, I guess I did not expect the lack of privacy on that front. No issues with the front desk, service was cordial and efficient in person and on the phone. Hoping this helps others in choosing what care is best for them!

I find this practice well-meaning with very smart radiologists, but the experience is poor. The problem is the technicians do not appear well-trained. And in my case , they made errors . The first mammogram had to be repeated as well as a second, follow up, one. Each time, I wasn't properly positioned in the machine. Repeating a mammogram is not to be taken lightly: it means unnecessary, and therefore, excess radiation, itself a cumulative risk factor for breast cancer, even if each time, the dose is low. Another problem: The protocol is to provide a mammogram but not read it on the spot, which the practice justifies by saying the results are more accurate this way. As a result, you have a screening mammogram, never talk to a doctor, and then wait either for a letter (a good sign) or a phone call (a bad sign). All of which adds anxiety to an already anxious-making test. Upshot: smart , reliable docs but problematic practice.

Can't get them to send results of test to another Dr .

I've been to others in the neighborhood and while all have been good this facility has been the best. Usually a short wait when I have an appointment (made by my doctor) and the staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. I'm in and out with no delays. This is my 4th time. I highly recommend and dont know why all the others write their negative reviews. Negative begets negative!

I have a long history with Dr. Maklansky due to three life threatening conditions that required cat scans. Each time I have been to NYMI, Dr. Maklansky has taken the time to speak with me about my condition and as much as possible tried to reassure me that I was ok or was going to be ok. What a kind and considerate man...one who goes over countless scans with such care. I'm lucky that my doctor, Dr. Anthony Weiss, sent me to this outstanding facility with its super doctors.

This place is the worst. The woman at reception are beyond nasty and the wait time for a scheduled appointment was more than 2 hours. Ridiculous. Don't go here.

The reception is deplorable. Curt to the point of rudeness. No humanity on display out front. Hope the medical staff persuades me to change my mind.
