I just want to say that if your in need of an AMAZING surgeon Dr. Fu is absolutely the one you need!! He did a C6-T2 Decompression and Posterior Fusion surgery on me in November 2022 and it went GREAT! I am so happy that I chose him!! I was so nervous because I had not had any surgery prior to that one. He made me feel at ease and confident with everything. I was up and walking the next morning. My pain was minimal, it was more of a slight discomfort at most. I have just been been amazed with how well it went after having a pretty intense type surgery! I am beyond happy to say the least!
Dr Fu is the doctor to see for neck and back pain. Don’t see anyone else. Dr Fu is the only doctor I would trust to touch me.
I had no good experiences with that surgeon Dr. Fu. For the scoliosis surgery, he goes from T3-L5 to T9-L5 without telling me, found out through reading paperwork. He had no other explanation besides “preserving mobility and less instrumentation” despite my neck pain issues. Then, in the post-op recovery room he tells me I am probably going to need surgery for those extra vertebrae in 15-20 years. I can barely process the info in that state, but tell him I’m noticing all this clicking and scraping in my spine. He abruptly shouts “No you don’t!” and storms out! In the weeks following, regaining mobility, all the original complaints are still present: gait issues, back pain, leg pain, leg weakness, NEW knee pain. During the 6 week post op appointment, he hands me a nominal print out of a before and after xrays, as if. He stood guarded, literally over his own behavior. And all his responses yet again were baffling and full of wonders.
This meeting was a consultation about an upcoming procedure and I felt Dr. Fu was excellent at explaining what we were going to do. He was very personable and didn't make me feel rushed in asking questions.
Everyone Is So Nice, Keep Up The Good Work. Thank You Everyone
Dr.Fu was very patient and explained all that was going to happen with my procedure
I am very happy so far with the results of my spine surgical procedure with Dr Fu.
Dr Fu offered guidance focused on the outcome best suited for me identifying conservative options that would help my situation recognizing that surgery would be better he last avenue to pursue
In my opinion, Dr Fu is an extraordinary doctor with a true gift of healing! I came in to see Dr. Fu to obtain a second opinion for issues with my thoracic & lumbar spine. After reviewing my MRI, he found a more sever issue in my cervical spine which my previous doctor missed. With sever symptoms of pain & numbing in my shoulders & arms, I later found out from Dr Fu that I could suffer from paralysis if my cervical spine wasn’t addressed immediately. He performed a laminectomy & fusion of my C3 – C4 in October of 2022. My entire experience was very positive & without any complications or issues. Dr Fu, his entire staff & his NP was very professional, friendly & attentive to all of my needs & questions. I highly recommend Dr Fu & the Center for Comprehensive Spine Care @ Weill Cornell Medicine Thank you
Dr. Fu is an amazing and caring Doctor. His knowledge, compassion and skills are second to none. If you are in need of a neuro surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Fu. His staff is wonderful and will accommodate any special needs or concerns you have.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
