I can’t say enough about Dr.Ari Klapholz.He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and understood.It hard to find good doctors nowadays.I feel very fortunate have found Dr.Klapholz

The Dr. is nice enough and pretty good, my real problem is with his staff, they were HORRIBLE, when in need of referrals or questions, HORRIBLE, you would have to call in MANY MANY times before you get what you need. I once had a trip to Paris planned and had a sinus infection, I needed antibiotics, because it is dangerous to fly with a sinus infection. I called in every day for "2 weeks" trying to get a prescription sent to my Pharmacy, finally calling the Doctors Home number the DAY before my scheduled flight, he FINALLY sent in the prescription, and was angry "WITH ME" lol, I flew with a sinus infection and had an infection my ENTIRE trip, because I had to wait 2 weeks to get a prescription called in. That was UNACCEPTABLE and I never returned to his office again. My STRESS LEVEL was Increased, My SAFTEY Compromised, and my Trip RUINED all due to INCOMPETENCE!! I'll never go back!!

Dr. Klapholz is great. But his office is a mess. My internist's office spent time making sure he was in network and I saw him with a referral.  But when I filled out the paperwork online right before the appointment I noticed a dialog asking me to agree to pay out of network costs.  I never signed it. Instead, I spent more than two hours on the phone confirming that he was in-network before going in. I was assured that they had my referral and that he was in-network, no problem, disregard that dialog. When I went in to see him, I was told of course he was in-network.  He was great and I was really happy to find a new doctor. But imagine my surprise to get an out of network bill a few days later. When I called the billing office they said not to worry, he was in network. Ten days later I had an emergency, my doctor wanted me to see a pulmonologist, so I called to make an appointment. They put me in with a nurse practitioner. Again, I was assured I was in-network - on the phone and in the office.  I had labwork.  Again, I got another huge bill.  After hours on the phone, still sick, they decided I was NOT in-network. Many calls later, they agreed to cover the costs.  But I WAS STILL SICK!  I had to go to my internist to resolve the problem.  Hours and hours and hours later, the only person who expressed  sympathy that my health had not been dealt with was a kind lady from the billing department who had asthma, too.  Still waiting for the lab bills to hit.

On January 18th I had my sleep study test. The facility as well as the sleep technician was so pleasant and professional. I called a few weeks ago, because I hadn't heard from Dr. Klapholz. It takes forever for the receptionist to answer the phone. She told me to wait and then I was transferred to a voicemail. I just tried to call again, February 22, and no one answered the phone. Mind you, the office is open until 3:30 (states this on his website), and I called a little after one. Dr. Klapholz should be reported for his lack of professionalism. As a doctor, he could at least return a patient's phone call. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Unprofessional and unethical .This office is about maximizing profits not patient care . Our experience with this office has been hell. Our advice , better to look elsewhere .

Dr. Klapholz patiently listened to my issues, and addressed my concerns without prejudice, or hesitation.He was on time, and professional.Of all the pulmo docs' I've visited he stands above the rest as a top notch healthcare provider who is passionate about his practice, and cares for his patients.

Very attentive and thorough in his exam and inquiry. Fully focused on the patient and his concerns/ needs. A most pleasant and gentle manner; felt immediately comfortable with him. Can not say much about support staff; needs significant improvement . Distracted, too busy with "other stuff" to provide personalized and helpful interaction.

When I wrote my first review, I spoke about the business end of things at Dr. Klapholz's office. After being pushed to a psychiatrist and essentially refused treatment at Dr. Klapholz's request, I discovered that Dr. Klapholz wasn't such a great doctor after all. Although Dr. Klapholz knew full well that I had Restless Leg Syndrome, he never did anything to address it. In contrast, my psychiatrist immediately sent me to a neurologist who prescribed accordingly. This is the best I've slept in thirty years. Very shoddy work on Dr. Klapholz's part.

Dr. Klapholz did improve my sleep greatly. That being said, he and his staff became rude when I pushed back on an office visit. I was waking up multiple times a night, and in that context, Dr. Klapholz suggested a sleep study. Since I don't have insurance, it cost me $878. The results that were delivered to me were that I don't have sleep apnea. Not relevant at all to the initial question. What a factory. So I sent an email asking about the relevance of the study to my frequent waking. I didn't want to come in if there was no definitive answer, since it would cost me $100. I received a vague and curt response. I guess I was no longer of interest medically when I didn't want to pay for an answer that could be delivered electronically. And as another reviewer pointed out, the office can barely refill a prescription properly. One time, the instructions were unclear, and the pharmacy called three times for clarification. I contacted the office. A nurse actually called me -- they never call -- with an annoyed statement that Dr. Klapholz filled the prescription yesterday. When the money stopped flowing, they were no longer interested in my health. A shame. How do they know I wouldn't come back?
