List of Maiden Lane Medical Walk-In Gynecology's Reviews
What an unexpectedly great resource in the city -- wish I knew about this place earlier! I was seen right away for a walk-in late in the day, received good, thoughtful and thorough care from PA Emma and the nurse, and everyone was very kind and helpful. Very clean and nice facility by NYC standards.
Nurse Sukha is the only provider I’ve ever had who truly listens. She respects that patients know their own bodies, values my research and concerns, and never makes me feel dismissed. I’ve followed her across locations because her level of care is unmatched. If you want a provider who genuinely cares, she’s it!
I had the most wonderful experience - the entire staff was lovely!
Do not go here for any services. I came in for a simple UTI, but once I received the bill, the out of pocket charge was astronomical due to random, unnecessary expensive tests they added, since they do their labs in house. This is extremely shady and I have contacted their billing department multiple times and still have not seen a credit on my account.
**WARNING: SURPRISE BILLING AND UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CARD CHARGE DESPITE COVERAGE FROM TWO IN NETWORK INSURANCE COMPANIES** I visited Maiden Lane Walk-In for an annual exam in the Spring of 2024. At the kiosk, I gave copies of my two insurance providers: my in-network primary, BCBS, and my in-network secondary, Cigna, through Jane Street, who would pay 100% of even out of network charges. I had the exam with a Nurse Practitioner, and gave my credit card information to pay the co-pay, thinking everything was fine. Over a year later, I got a bill in the mail for $740.00. I called and explained that, at the time, I had total insurance coverage, but because Maiden Lane missed the deadline to make the claim with both companies, they wouldn't be reimbursed. They certainly had both cards because part of the kiosk check-in is providing proof of insurance. I was told that Maiden Lane would look into it and get back to me. Months later, after hearing nothing, I got an email that my credit card was auto-charged $740.00 by Maiden Lane. I called and spoke with John Michael Patricio, who told me that I signed a contract which said that if I had a balance, they were allowed to auto-charge me. I informed him that I would never sign a contract with terms allowing Maiden Lane to bill me whatever they want whenever they want. John Michael said that if I sent them proof of my coverage at the time, they would handle it promptly. I immediately sent him both insurance cards. However, when I followed up the next day, he just told me that he "informed his manager." I informed John Michael that if there was not communication by EOD, I would be forced to file a dispute with my credit card company. I heard nothing, and so I have. I have never heard of nor experienced such shocking, fraudulent billing practices from any business, let alone one that deals with caring for women's health. I would highly recommend any woman who (a) expects that their insurance companies will be properly billed and (b) that doesn't want a surprise bill and a surprise credit card charge to go elsewhere.
LITTERALLY don’t go here horrible experience in so many ways. There were crushed chips on the floor, the iud insertion was bad and they rescheduled me 3 times it was also over 500$ for an iud with insurence. When I was listening to a voice message from them after a women walking past me overheard maiden lane and said never go there and had a similar experience.
I had came in to run a few simple tests that would’ve, at most, cost $350 at my usual OBGYN. I was in a hurry and used Maidenlane. They did two things that are abhorrent: 1) charge me $1200 for the same tests that would’ve cost way less elsewhere and 2) charged my credit card for payment without my consent for a bill that was not due. I should’ve checked BBB on their practices. They did not follow up on Rx that never came through to the pharmacy and doctor follow-up on results were also horribly communicated. No one from billing or the main line picks up and essentially you are stuck to this nightmare unless you dispute with your credit card company. Avoid at all costs, NEVER come here.
I love the doctors that I’ve seen but am choosing to switch because of office staff. Most often when I’m speaking with anyone I’m met with attitudes, impatience, and lack of help. I feel defeated whenever I try to get answers. My last straw was when I had an abnormal pap and wasn’t allowed to speak to the doctor without scheduling a televisit, which I likely would have had to pay a co-pay for, when a follow-up call should really be part of your visit, ESPECIALLY when you have abnormal results.
Staff was very friendly and the NP was great.
The other two clinics are where my regular gyne is. So when I saw how close their walk-in is to my office, I was pleasantly surprised! The whole experience of going and getting checked for a sudden issue was so easy and wonderful. And quick! You barely have to wait and they make sure that you're seen no matter what. PA Emma Izzo is awesome and made me feel so comfortable. I needed three follow ups and she explained everything so well. Shout out to the nurses, front desk and ultrasound tech as well! Would highly recommend all of Maiden Lane, but especially their walk-in clinic if you have a sudden issue and need to be seen quickly!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
