This office is practicing balance billing for in network providers which is against the benefits policy. The doctor is in-network with our insurance. The insurance says that the services are covered. There is no patient responsibility except for copays or lab copays. Christina, has been attempting to bill the difference between what the insurance says is the allowed rate, as per the doctor and insurance contract, and what the practice is charging. As a in-network provider, this is a breach in contract. She keeps making excuses about the insurance denying claims/ not reaching out to her / that her hands are tied to even handle this situation but the only denials that the insurance see are for services that THEY were too late to file a claim for or filed incorrectly. Even then, there is no patient responsibility. That's on them to take the loss for having a clearly clueless and inadequate billing team who does not know what they are doing. And then they have the audacity to threaten to send to collections, for a bill not within patient responsibility as stated by insurance. Christina is clearly trying to avoid doing her job in order to force patients to pay off whatever charge the office wants. Uncooperative, ignoring calls from the insurance to clear the issue, and now us. She keeps acting like it's a problem that the insurance and the patient needs to solve but that's not the case. This is a problem that the office's billing department is supposed to solve. Insurance has already settled that the services are covered with only the copay as patient responsibility. The denied claims is because the billing department was too late and not doing their work in time, not because of lack of coverage. There is no argument, there is nothing unresolved. It's on Christina. Do not go to this office. They deserve to be shut down.
Dr. Goldenberg is exactly the person you want guiding your care and leading your treatment plan. He is smart, compassionate, and from our discussions, clearly active in the most forward-looking science out there. On top of this, he is a warm person who clearly cares about his patients and does a great job explaining the health challenges and the plan of action he has recommended. You are in good care in his trusted and skilled hands.

I would give four or five stars if it were not for the front desk person Demi. She is arrogant, and either dishonest or ill-informed. Dr. Haglof and everyone else is very nice. It is unpleasant to have her be the first person you encounter in this office. She needs training to stop creating a hostile environment or be replaced.
Thank you Dr GoldenbergFor the excellent care of my friend- I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best cancer care in NYC.
Terrible experience from start to finish. To start out, my appointment was delayed by over an hour. They ran labs but the results were not sent to me until I specifically requested multiple times for it to be sent to me. Then the office sent the bill through email but did not give any instructions on how to pay. I've had to chase down the billing department (I've called 3+ time, left a callback number) and yet have not been able to pay. Extremely unprofessional and would recommend going to another practice.
Several dear friends recommended Dr. Goldenberg when my life was turned upside down with my diagnosis . I was met with compassion and treatment plan by the doctor who was of something so special I knew I was in the right place . A true innovator and scientist who initiated treatment with what has been confirmed the best and cutting edge . The Nurses can only be described as angels of compassion and professionalism . When I need supportive scans and x rays the administrative staff arranged immediate care. Focus was on me and they saw to it that my wellness came first and took the time to work with my insurance so all treatment happens seamlessly without delay . My Multiple Myeloma has been arrested and I am soon to move to final phase of treatment. I am enjoying life thanks to Dr. Goldenberg and team. In what is now a year long plus journey I have never felt so blessed and thankful for what I have experienced during my care . Seen many good people restored and comforted on their paths to wellness. Perhaps the greatest blessing of all . A beautiful light . Thank you Doctor Goldenberg and thank you to the wonderful team and associates . Barry K
I just wanted to take a moment and call out Christina, the billing coordinator. Dealing with insurance companies is so unpleasant especially when you are going through a difficult time. Christina went above and beyond to help me sort out my issues and offered to be my advocate with the insurance company - which is a rare occurrence from providers. Thank you Christina for having humanity and empathy - a rare trait nowadays.
I am in a journey of unknowns since being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma back in July of 2021. The stars aligned when different dear beloved people in my life directed me to Doctor Goldenberg of Manhattan Hematology. No words describe my progress to wellness since and the unbelievable care and compassion of Dr. Goldenberg and staff. Yes angels do exist ! I am soon to move to final phase of treatment . My bad numbers Myeloma proteins are moving down to normal levels . Cannot say enough about Tracey , Paulene the nursing team , Christine and Omar in Administration . A level of love professionalism and compassion that is indescribable . G d Bless Dr. Goldenberg and Manhattan Hematology Oncology Thank you Barry Kaufman
I went in as a new patient for a hematology appointment; Dr. Goldenberg was incredibly kind and thorough with my medical history and examination, making sure I understood what he was recommending and what tests I would be taking. Omar was also incredibly kind and made sure I understood what to anticipate in regards to further treatment and expected calls.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
