I received SMILE here a few years back, and Lasik recently for a retouch. Dr B is best in class. Super talented and great bed side manner. He’s a great guy and that comes through at every stage of the process. He cares a lot and invests real time in his patients which is a differentiator. The office mgmt made it all super easy too. Shout out to Thai for this. They put my (very) worried mind at ease. They’re responsive and patient. It’s a good crew. Results are fantastic so far.

I’ve had a positive overall experience at Manhattan Lasik. I had PRK surgery with Dr. Niksarli, and one year post-op my vision feels great. My only concern has been with my follow-up appointments and the practice’s lack of respect for patient’s time. EVERY time I’ve come in, I’ve had to wait 30–45 minutes before seeing the doctor, even though the actual check-in lasts just a few minutes. I’m not sure if this is due to scheduling issues, but it consistently feels disorganized, especially for a quick follow-up. I do not think patients should be waiting this long for a short checkin as it shows a complete lack of respect for patient’s time. When I kindly brought this up to the front desk staff, I was unfortunately met with rudeness. I don’t blame them, as it seems like they’re dealing with miscommunication or scheduling problems that are out of their control, but it still made the experience unnecessarily frustrating.

Great care, lasting results and all in all experience was great. The care coordinator did a great job of walking me through process and the fact I got my lasik done here 7 years ago, and I can still recommend due to their attention to detail must say something about the place.

The best investment in my life! I couldn't decide whether I should take this surgery or not over a decade. I wasnt eligible for lasik but now I'm eligible for SMILE. WHAT A MAGIC. No pain, and as they said I can see everything clearly very next morning (i felt this great result even after 3 hours of the surgery). Everybody in this clinic is professional and calm with great etiquette. I'm so happy to decide this investment. Still can't believe I can see things so clearly without glasses! Not cheap but this great doctor and very advanced technology. It's worth it!

Had the absolute PLEASURE of meeting Dr. Buchsbaum during my first consultation back in February 2025 going over my best option for LASIK surgery. He answered all my questions and concerns and determined that the PRK procedure was my best option for the best results. (I had high astigmatism and a strong prescription) I held back for years on getting this done as I was terrified of the procedure itself. But I finally went in surgery day and the team made me feel super comfortable and helped ease my nerves leading up to my procedure. I held back giving a review because I wanted to ensure it was honest. We’re almost a whole year in after my surgery and I can say that it was THE BEST DECISION EVER! I achieved 20/20 after about 2 months post surgery and I LOVE seeing everything so clearly without glasses. I am still going to my monthly appointments since my surgery with Dr.Buchsbaum and even he was surprised at how well my eyes recovered and how the outcome was better than expected. I love the whole team at this office, they really care about everyone and treat you with care from beginning all the way through your post surgery follow up appts. I cannot express my sincere gratitude enough for everyone there and to Dr.Buchsbaum for giving me the gift of clear vision without any complications. Thank you once again, I will forever be grateful! If you choose to do LASIK, this is your place to go 100% : )

I did my lasik on January 2008 and since then I never been seen by ophthalmologists.. thank god. I was able to go to work next day to work without any problems. They are amazing and professional the staff is great .. I highly recommends this place to any one.. And I have 2 of my family did their lasik at manhattan lasik as well .. and they feel great and happy with their vision..

Highly recommend Manhattan LASIK center. I had the procedure done with Dr. Buchsbaum a month ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results. Dr. Buchsbaum is incredibly gentle, professional, and attentive. He guided me through every step of the process and made me feel completely at ease the entire time. The procedure was painless as described and the recovery was quick and easy!

Great experience , same day surgery , doctor was great talked me through the whole surgery (very professional) and painless ! I would give 5 star but the only thing they sent my post opp pain meds to the wrong pharmacy so very painful .
