Poor bedside Manor, very arrogant, does not listen to what you are saying to him and I don't trust him. I do not recommend using this doctor. I would expect better from a prestigious hospital like Columbia Presbyterian.

I just had surgery and the surgeon and his staff put me at ease before the surgery. I had a speedy recovery with minimal discomfort. The incisions were small without pain. Dr. Bessler has over 25 years of bariatric experience and it showed. I feel great and cannot wait to see how this new chapter in my life will play out. The nurses and professionals at the hospital were fabulous. They catered to my needs there. I made the right decision.

i found Dr. Marc Bessler to be an extremely efficient and knowledgeable Dr. he answered all my questions in a very specific short and to the point. made sure i completely understand all my concerns. if any of my friends or family would ever need to have a Dr. for this i would definitely recommend him

I do believe this staff and Dr. Bessler are highly qualified, but if you have a problem, best of luck trying to get someone to call you back. I had gastric sleeve surgery in April 2019 and the weight loss aspect was successful, but now I cannot seem to stop the weight loss and am still losing. I am weak, almost unable to work, and not happy. While some staff are concerned, the dietician has no time for answers. I think in many ways this is a high volume practice. My 3 month follow up was missed entirely, and no help. I had three close friends and colleagues who had the same surgery, all in different locations, and none have the problem I have. All have maintained their weight loss and even gained a few. I am now too thin and weak, and unable to gain any strength or muscle mass. No one in the office seems all that concerned. I have asked for an appointment, and hope to hear back soon.

Dr Marc Bessler did my gastric bypass 2007 and I was very satisfied by all procedures. I do recommend him to anyone looking for a great surgeon.
