Dr Nachamie was very knowledgeable and had great bedside manner and unlike some didnt rush through the appointment at all.

Dr. Nachamie is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is thoughtful considerate extremely knowledgeable and kind. I saw him in September upon a recommendation of a neurologist. I had a heart problem scare and he agreed to see me at the very last minute. He was very patient and thorough he answered all my questions and spent time explaining the issues. He arranged for me to have a CAT scan that very same day. His approach and his bed side manner were remarkable and I will be always grateful to him.

I took my mother to him on Friday 272020 for high blood pressure.  He prescribed losartan 50 mg.  CVS called me on Saturday saying that they dont carry that dosage and ask the doctor to prescribe an alternative.  I emailed the dr on Sunday Monday and Wednesday Left a voicemail on Monday and spoke to the receptionist on Wednesday who told me dr. Nachamie is in and has received my messages.  But he still never bothered to get back to me.  By Thursday 2132020 when my mothers blood pressure was shooting up I took off from work and found new Dr.  Complete lack of decency

I found Dr Nachamie on the EmblemHealth doctor directory last Fall. I was thrilled to meet him at my first appt as I found him attentive took his time and gave me a physical exam plus sonogram of my carotid artery to check for plaque. His admin Alice was very cordial.I later phoned Alice for a referral to an ophthalmologist which I was overdue to see one and gave her weeks in advance to get this done. On the day before the appt I find out I had none. I called her and she said the ophthalmologist doesnt take my plan. She never called me to tell me. So I asked for reference to an ophthalmologist whose practice is in their same bldg and a referral again weeks in advance of the appt. On the day of the appt I find I have none again. I called Alice and she tells me that HER doctor Nachamie does not accept MY plan and it was a mistake to accept me as a patient. And as a result he cant refer me. I asked to talk to Dr Nachamie and obviously he did not get the message as im sure she did not relay it. She knew I wanted to address the fact that she did not inform me that I did not qualify for either doctor in their plans. So since she answers the phone the only way to communicate to Dr Nachamie about this issue is through the internet.BTW Dr Nachamies list of networks he accepts on the EmblemHealth plan is very outdated.

NYC is spectacular in many ways. Finding Doctors who are patient thorough and provide ample time is not one of its features. I was recommended to Nechamie by another physician and found him to be a gem. Very comprehensive in his testing and explanations perhaps like none other. Wonderful bedside manner. Everything you want in a doctor. Highly recommend if you are seeking a new cardiologist.
