What a wonderful experience! Everyone and especially the nurses (Ryan, Wil, Nicole and Kristen) who cared for me before/after my double mastectomy were/are fantastic and most importantly patient and sweet!

A quick shout out to the security team, most prominently Buckley, who helped me locate and secure a piece of missing property that I misplaced after a procedure. Really appreciate him and his teams help getting it back! Unsung heroes

My experience at Josie Robertson Surgery Center was truly exceptional from start to finish. The facilities are modern, spotless, and well-equipped, which immediately gives a sense of safety and comfort. The medical and nursing staff were highly professional, compassionate, and attentive. They explained every procedure clearly and took the time to answer all of my questions with patience and kindness. The care was prompt, efficient, and personalized. I also appreciated the thorough follow-up after my visit—it shows a genuine commitment to patient well-being. Without a doubt, this is one of the best hospitals I’ve ever been to. I would confidently recommend it to anyone seeking top-quality medical care.

The hospital staff overall was friendly and professional, which we appreciated. However, our experience started on a disappointing note at check-in on 3rd floor. The receptionist who gave us instructions did so with an unwelcoming attitude, at one point even raising her voice and speaking in a condescending manner. It felt like I was being treated like a child, which was frustrating and unnecessary, especially first thing in the morning. I'm not sure why any patient should be treated this way upon arrival.

From our arrival in the lobby on 3/14, to registration on the 3rd floor, to the customer service at the food center on the 3rd floor, to the nurses on the floor prior to surgery, to the post op nursing staff for room 403 on 3/14 and 3/15, my MIL, my husband and I reveived top notch level of care and service. Dr. Tracy-Ann Moo thank you, thank you, thank you.

The hospital is incredible! The staff in the post surgery unit is amazing!! I can not say enough about the wonderful, caring, and attentive nurses and staff of the Josie Center!! Call out to Tyler and Nicole, RNs of PACU. Thank you so much!!! 🤗🩷

Professional and lots of compassion

Without Hesitation! Never have I ever experienced such care and professionalism and you don’t wait for anything! They’re so efficient it is almost scary, except it isn’t and they try hard to keep up confidence .

Here we go, This surgery center is located right off the Queensborough Bridge. Great views. There is lots of traffic in this area, but it's convenient because it's affiliated with and part of MSK. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I was treated with care, respect, and so much love. Front Desk greeters and even security were very friendly and were there to assist. I went through four surgeries here, and I was treated with the top-notch utmost care. My surgeons were Dr. Moo and Dr. Corriddi, two of the most awesome Doctors at MSK. This building has security everywhere which makes you feel safe. Cleanliness was 10+ spotless. Staff from nurses to hospital workers were pleasant all smiling which made me feel at ease knowing everything would be ok. Very inviting atmosphere despite the reason for the visits. The process of surgeries was very much planned, and organized thoroughly. The cafe for patients and family members was great. Even the food was good. A food truck was also located outside, and numerous restaurants are located 1/2 block away. A parking garage for patients and family is next door. MSK Surgery Center is huge, located a couple of blocks from MSK's main hospital. I give this surgery Center and 10+. I would recommend anyone going through a cancer diagnosis or treatment consider choosing MSK. One of the best cancer hospitals in the USA. Happy Yelping.

Noone LIKES getting surgery. Moreso, noone likes or ever wants to hear the knowledge they have breast cancer and will need a mastectomy. From the moment I arrived with my mother, who's been through substantial other surgeries, I knew this time would be different. We live at the shore and I am NOT a city driver. However from the moment we arrived at the center at the ripe hour of 5 am (we left our house at 3!) and were greeted by the fantastic front desk security. They escorted us to the surgical waiting room floor to and we were greeted be just as kind and welcoming staff. We met with so many amazing NPs, Clerical, and RN staff I wish I was awake enough to remember everyones name. Upon making it to the pre op room, the doctors were so kind to my mother, and myself. They put fears at ease, answered every question patiently. And can I just say the view? Inside and out the entire building is calm, beautiful and relaxing. We sat and watched the tram for Roosevelt island and watched the sun come up. When they took my mother back for surgery, they let her have the dignity of walking herself there. One big hug goodbye and they took her back. I was left to my own devices in the beautiful waiting area, where a social worker came around and gave me an update. I stayed overnight with my mother, she was so well and incredibly taken care of by both dayshift and nightshift. They were so kind to her, understanding this monumental event in her life and treated her with respect and dignity. When we were discharged the next day, they made sure she was up, dressed, fed and answered any questions we needed. The entirety of the floor was homey, clean, and well kept. Nurses were on at 2:1 ratio, and were RIGHT outside. If you MUST get a mastectomy, and this facility is a suggested one, PLEASE consider it. You will not regret it.
