Best rheumatology in all of New York! Dr. Colin gave me my life back. At the age of 32 my entire body became very inflamed. It was very difficult to perform any activities of daily living. Simple things like opening the sink, turning a door knob, or opening a water bottle were near to impossible for me. After two former rheumatologist and two different medications that were unsuccessful, I decided to get a third opinion. Dr. Colin paid attention to me the patient, and to my symptoms. He was able to get my symptoms under control in a short time. It’s been two years and I have been flare up free. He is a great physician but old school and rough around the edges. He always takes the time to answer my questions and seems to always follow up with me asap.

Dr. Colin behaved extremely unprofessionally. He called me sweetheart and sweetie all throughout the appointment. He said I had very soft skin and felt all over by body. He also told me I was a bad girl and encouraged me to drink alcohol despite my IBD. I was incredibly uncomfortable throughout the entire appointment and will not be returning. Doctor was very well mannered and straight forward with his treatment program. Fully understood my problems and issues and advised solutions. Very down to earth and warm person. I would highly recommend him to patients that are seriously looking to turn their life around for the positive. He is your guy.

Dr. Collin is a total professional and an expert in dealing with addiction issues. He is highly compassionate and knowledgeable. I very much enjoy being his patient.

Dr Michael Colin is an exceptional physician. I was referred after my knee eroded and my neurologist had no idea what to do. He spent over 2 hrs with me and asked I stay after his session so he can discuss my condition. That was enough to tell me I found someone who’s interested. He had no idea what he was actually accepting but took on the task. He listened, he reviewed, he is patient, he cares, and is knowledgeable!!!!!! I was not an easy case and had progressed into a systemic disease. He helped me and treated me. His outside the box knowledge helped me regain the ability to function to a degree after 3 years of not being treated appropriately under the care of physiatrist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, and internist. He won’t give up and takes everything into account when treating you. I recommend Dr Colin’s highly.

Dr. Colin has been a wonderful Doctor and support for me over the years, and has been with me through some of my most difficult times. He is caring and compassionate, but has never been afraid of setting me straight. He's not one of these regular head-nodding therapists, which I appreciate. I recommend him for anyone dealing with depression- he really gets it. Thank you Doc!

This doctor does not know how to deal with people. If you are a "good patient" he is attentive. If you are at all a challenge to work with he will not know how to handle you. I was a model patient but one day I was in a bad mood and didn't feel like talking. Instead of being understanding, he asked me several questions for his "own liability" and then told me he wouldn't work with me and had to leave. He is rigid and naive and, as a psychiatrist who can't handle people with mood issues, useless.

Dr Michael Colin is a rarity in medicine. An extremely intelligent Rheumatologist! I had gone to several renowned physicians since having Anterior Cervical Surgery with fusion because of systemic pain which mainly manifested in my lower back. Neurologist, Primary care Doctors, pain management .. you name it I saw them and had scans ordered every 3 months... and nothing. No one could answer why I would loose complete strength, inability to walk, tremors, extreme weakness, fatigue, cognitively slow... I battled with pointless medication for the pain until my brain shutdown along with my body. Here's were this gem of a doctor saved me and my joints from eroding, auto inflammatory disease, and pain management. Finally someone who listens to the entire issue not the symptom.. He's not dismissive but instead supporting and thinks outside the box. I'm an unusual case for a woman of 46 but he's helped me regain my life. Im 8 months into treatment and I'm finally seeing a light! Dr Colin's knowledge of current treatment plans and old school Dr Know How is why he's my top doctor!
