List of MIchael Rubin Md's Reviews
As a medical professional, I can honestly say I have never encountered a more arrogant, condescending doctor in my entire career. You will encounter rash medical judgment without serious, reflective thought or critical thinking. The recommendation I received was life altering and led to the demise of my health. I recommend you seek care elsewhere for the sake of your life and mental well being. This doctor "may" care about a select group of his patients, but my experience has been horrific. My recommendation is: run the other way. I regret following his recommendations.
I don't understand the negative reviews listed on this site. I found Dr Rubin to be very knowledgeable, thorough & concerned. He gave me a very complete exam, spent a lot of time with me & correctly diagnosed my problem. I would highly recommend him.
As a medical professional who was in need of care for new onset of neuropathies, I was stunned at the arrogance, and attitude of this neurologist. It was the first time in my life I left an appointment in tears. I have no idea how he remains in practice. I moved on and thankfully found a caring, interested doctor who now has my symptoms under controll.
excellent physician!
As a retired orthopedic surgeon, I know a fine doctor when I see one. I had never met Dr. Rubin before. He is an outstanding physician: smart, efficient , compassionate, expert, and highly knowledgeable. He communicates well. I recommend him without reservations.

My visit was brief, traveling from NJ into the city to see Dr. Rubin. He started off telling me to move my chair back 6 feet after I moved it slightly out of its original position to accommodate for my guest. After that he asked me “why are you here?” and proceeded to be dismissive in my answers to his questions. I brought all of my medical records which he quickly paged through instead of reviewing them ahead of time (since I had offered to fax them) and as he reviewed them he wouldn't let me talk, but instead commented on what a waste of paper the records were. After that he did a minimal physical exam without gloves, however his note stated that he examined things that he did not even look at or ask about. Trust me I would know as I work in the emergency room. My advice would be to wait months for an appt with a doctor much better than Dr. Rubin. This might be the worst appt I’ve ever had with a doctor.
Worst doctor I have been to. Refused to look at my X-Rays after asking him to look at it 3 times, and then lied about reviewing my MRI and told me it came back clean. I went to a different doctor who actually looked at my X-Rays and MRI. It turns out I have a broken bone in my back that is leaning on a nerve AND I have arthitis in my back, which are both contributing to me not being able to walk for 6 months. This man is full of himself and should no longer be practicing. Worst doctor I have been to. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
