Just a terrific human being. I underwent cardiac catheterization with stent placement on an almost emergency basis. This interventional cardiologist is just one of the best. I would unreservedly recommend this doctor to anyone. Very happy to have been under this man’s care. I can’t say enough positive things to convey how I feel about this superb doctor at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. My procedure was performed on 12/17/2021.

Michael kept my mom living way longer than she should’ve. He actually put 10 stents in her over the years and prolonged her life. He is not only an amazing Heart surgeon but he’s an amazing human being. He was my source of strength as well as my mothers. I can’t imagine a better doctor existing.

I heard about Michael through a friend from work. We were talking about my constant foot pain and I was referred to Dr. Collins! He is patient, kind and very knowledgeable. He listens to your concerns and makes sure you don't leave until all your questions have been answered.This was my first time visiting a Podiatrist and I couldn't have asked for a better visit (except for me showing up late due to train problems that they were super nice about!)I work in Grand Central so with a combination of unsupportive sneakers and hard marble floors, I developed constant foot pain. During my visit, I found out it was plantar fasciitis. Dr. Collins explained to me what the disorder was and went over several options to treat it. After a cortisone shot, a split and some more knowledge on helpful morning and evening exercises for my foot, I felt confident leaving the office and knowing I won't have to struggle with foot pain much longer. Dr. Collins also ordered my customized shoe sole inserts for my shoes. These arrived in a couple weeks and I went back to the office for a follow up visit. Since then I have referred like everyone from my job to him! I will definitely continue going to Chelsea Foot & Ankle

Dr. Collins is an outstanding physician. I experienced a great deal of pain due to plantar fasciitis, for nearly a year. After seeing Dr. Collins for a few months and following his advice, and I am pleased to report that I am almost 100% back to normal with almost no pain. Dr. Collins cared about me and my situation, and I started to feel better within weeks of my first visit. I found Dr. Collins to be personable, helpful, honest, knowledgeable, and asked all the right questions to come up with the right approach to make me well again. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Collins, and will absolutely seek his care again if I ever need his help in the future. I also want to commend Michael at the front desk for his help with billing and appointments, which always went smoothly. Thanks for taking care of me!

Unbelievable master of his art.. If you need angioplasty this is the Dr. You want.

I have found Dr. Collins to always be late. I on average wait 45 mins past appointment time. He is soft spoken but is huffy and rude. After asking him to write prescriptions for my over the counter medicines, so I can pay for them with my flex spending, he proceded to complain to me how much time this was going to take up for him. It is also difficult to get in to see him and he has refused to refill allergy medicines because he has not personally seen me in over a yr, even though everytime I make an appointment with him I end up seeing a PA in his practice. Also after having my son I was dealing with Postpartum and asked for a prescription. He refused saying since I was nursing there was nothing that could be done for me. I later spoke to my OB/GYN who told me that was not true. After seeing him I feel that he is unwilling to treat anything with medicine, but is always willing to take my money.

Dr. Collins is a knowledgeable, soft-spoken doctor. He never rushes a patient and takes the time to explain everything. I highly recommend him.
