Staff warm and welcoming. Dr Sood takes time to listen.

Very poor ongoing communication with patients, staff routinely forgets to refill prescriptions and requires multiple requests by patient to get prescription refilled. Very frustrating!

Dr Sood is one of a kind. She is an EXTREMELY competent doctor. She has a very unique blend of being extremely competent, extremely kind, amazing bedside manner, and goes ABOVE and BEYOND her patients as if you were her family. TRULY above and beyond. Most doctors these days will not even pay you adequate attention. She pays you FULL attention, even though she has a completely booked schedule and lineup of patients, and I would imagine is incredibly busy. Even outside of the office visits, she checks up on you. She isn’t like other “top endocrinologists” that charge you a fortune and don’t give you adequate attention or care. Unfortunately, in my circumstance, I’ve had a lot of health issues and had to be seen by a LOT of doctors, to the tune of 100 probably, and Dr Sood is #1 on my list, by far. She’s absolutely fabulous, and if you need an endocrinologist in NYC, or even if you live out of NYC and looking for an Endo, i would 100% make the commute / travel to work with her, even if you're across the country. That’s how strongly I am endorsing her as a patient. Again, to emphasize, she is absolutely incredible as a doctor, and an amazing human being as well. If you need other doctors to be part of your team, she also has a whole Rolodex of competent doctors to refer you to. If you have anything endocrinology related, Dr Sood is without a doubt your best option for a doctor. 10/10. Again, I cannot emphasize this enough. I am so incredibly grateful I found her. She’s helped me tremendously, in very short notice. Her office staff is also 10/10, absolutely top notch.

Dr Sood was my endocrinologist while I had Graves and she advised me to have a Thyroidectomy, I felt pressured by her and I was terrified about how I would feel because of things that I read online. Dr. Sood told me not to read what people write online. Turns out those people are telling the truth bc I am now one of them. And not only that, Dr. Sood had me very hyperthyroid for about six months after my surgery. Four years after surgery and I’m still struggling to get my hormones right I feel like a shell of a human being and a fraction of what I once was. I trusted Dr. Sood with my life and she let me down beyond words. While she is nice, what I needed was someone to guide me to optimizing my hormones and that she could not do.

Horrible experience I do NOT recommend I don’t even know where to begin. She did so many things that put me in a life-threatening position, including trying to block my thyroid hormones with my methimizole and adding T4 like I’m some kind of science experiment. Then she told me don’t read the online forums about what people write regarding post thyroidectomy. She was WRONG about that as well. my life has been completely obliterated from having my thyroid removed and she did a horrible job working on my thyroid hormones. She had me hyper thyroid for six months after my surgery. I expect when I’m paying out-of-pocket seeing an endocrinologist that she would be better than the rest but she wasn’t. She was just as bad or worse than every other endocrinologist I’ve seen.

Dr. Sood is an incredible person and doctor. Caring and connected. Thorough and smart.

Dr. Sood has made me feel better than I have in years and enabled me to lose weight and keep that weight off. She is always responsive and thoughtful about her advice. I cannot imagine a better endocrinologist.

Dr Sood changed my life. People use this phrase casually but I mean it. She is not only an extraordinary human being (kind, patient and empathetic) but an outstanding, exceptional doctor. I have recommended her to both friends and clients who all feel the same way: everything changed after they met Dr Sood. I should add, by the time I walked into her office I had met with six highly rated endocrinologists in NYC who all disagreed about how to treat me. I was fed up and convinced this visit would be no different. But Dr Sood took the time to EXPLAIN why my current treatment protocol wasn't working, and what we should do differently. I left her office feeling hopeful, which I hadn't felt in a long time. And then, amazing things started to happen. I could write pages about how wonderful she is but a picture is worth 1000 words. Here I am one month before I met Dr Sood vs six months after. I really didn't want to post this because the "before" is so embarrassing. But the way I was feeling, were it not for Dr Sood my "after" would have been an urn - so gratitude is finally trumping vanity, and I'm finally posting my review :)

Dr. Sood is an excellent physician. Deeply knowledgeable, thorough, thoughtful and kind. She takes her time, listens carefully and answers all of my questions. If I could give her more stars I would! Her office staff is also terrific. You really won’t find a better practice.
