She makes sure I have the most up-to-date treatment. Very conscientious about this. Always replies promptly to queries. Excellent professional staff. Also a lovely person. A bonus.

Within 24 hours, Dr. Monica Schwarcz was able to help me get some very high sugar numbers under control and stabilized. She moved quickly, with attention to detail and was crystal clear about the plan while keeping in close touch as the first day turned into the first week and then maintenance. I went to see Dr. Schwarcz in the Sept 2020. I was experiencing various symptoms of PCOS such as, missing periods, depression, depression, acne, and gaining weight extremely fast. My body image at this point was so poor and effecting my everyday life. I started on my own to treat my symptoms naturally and began to feel like me again for the first time in 3 years. When I had my appointment with Monica, and told her my successes thus far, she didn't seem phased. I told her I was practicing mindful eating, working on my eating habits/changing my relationship with food. Her bedside manner was none. She offered Metformin almost immediately. I expressed my concerns with Metformin as a quick fix with possible bad side effects. My concerns were shot to the ground. My symptoms were not taken seriously, and I was met with, "A lot of women have PCOS". And yes, I know this, but it does not mean you can dismiss what I am going through, prescribe me a drug and move on. I could tell she didn't care.
