List of Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice's Reviews
I would like to highly recommend Dr. Eliana Cardozo who treated my knee issues at Mount Sinai. She is punctual, attentive, caring beyond the call of duty and an excellent doctor.
While the Dr. was great, the front desk too, the Administration of Mount Sinai should immediately stop the nonsense vaccination mandate for visitors. It's March 2022 and the madness still didn't stop. Spouses are not allowed to come in because not being vaccinated. And given that they had the virus already and have anti-bodies, for some reason that's worthless. This is insane and really hurting people. This is so heartless, and most of all, totally non-sense. The medical world agree that 1)vaccinated people can still get the virus. 2) vaccinated people can still spread the virus. 3)and masks suppose to help. no?
This is an amazing hospital i have Systematic Lupus and Nurse Donovan Carey is a sweetheart he made sure i was seen and given medication as soon as possible. Treated me like a human being i have been to shitty hospitals before this one is far from shitty very respectable ! He made me cry happy tears him and all the staff because of the niceness and humane. Definitely will come here anytime im in distress ! Thank you Nurse Carey love youuuu !
Exceptional overall. I come here every 10 weeks to see one of my specialists. Mount Sinai has its own app that makes it simple to check in and pay for your visit ahead of time. I usually don't wait any longer than 10 minutes to see the doctor! The front desk and nurses are kind and my Nurse Practitioner is personable, professional, and empathetic. I moved away from NYC but I am having a hard time moving away from Mount Sinai!!
Not worth one star. As an employee at MSH I went there for a routine blood draw and they put the needle in the wrong spot on my arm and I’m healing from a black and blue mark near my elbow from there own mistake. I am never getting my blood drawn here again unless I have to!!!
DO NOT GO HERE. Doctor great but billing department is not just a joke, they literally billed me incorrectly for an annual check-up which i needed for a surgery (and I paid it thinking it was my co-pay surgery). I have spent 40 hours of my life trying to get this resolved since Spring 2021. Each time their dept has gave me a run around issue. SAVE YOURSELF AND DONT GO HERE!
Mt. Sinai location is convenient...just off of 5th Avenue. Practices appear to be by floor so easy to enter & find area. Everything was on time for my appointment...and took only 30 minutes for my foot issue to be x-rayed & diagnosed.
Not even worth 1 star... I had to keep going back after "trying" different remedies... I should have just had the operation from day 1 which I was asking for. They were ringing up the tab. I keep receiving bills for the same dates and from different departments for the same visit which is so confusing! My Insurance has been incorrect 3 times and still shows my old insurance after advising them multiple times. The first time, they entered No insurance at all and it was cheaper than when my insurance was added. Advice is to say you have no insurance as it will be cheaper. I hate the place... Long lines for people with appointments. Worst environment ever! Can't wait to get out every time (about 10 visits now). Strongly advise to go elsewhere! Chris Davies
Dr. Ilya Iofin kept me waiting three hours for a consultation with him. When he finally entered the exam room, all he said was that everything looks okay, and see me in six months. I was referred to this doctor by another doctor at Mt. Sinai, so I took the referral to mean it would be a worthwhile experience. My husband drove me to this appointment at the 98th Street location. Both my husband and I work. We work at our home, which is located in Staten Island, New York. It takes us 1 ½ to 1 ¾ hours to get to Mt. Sinai; therefore, we wasted between 6 and 6 ½ hours for nothing! We both lost over six hours of work time for nothing! Following this experience, I contacted two patient-care representatives on two different days. The first consulted with me in a conference room. The second took my call, told me she was too busy to speak with me at that time, and never returned my call. The first told me that she alerted the doctor’s team, telling the members of the team that they must explain to the waiting patient the reason for the delay. The second was simply rude; so, I went full-circle and got nowhere. The first also told me that she looked back at the date of my appointment, and could not tell me the reason for my three-hour wait. I peeked out a few times while I was in the exam room, and NO ONE was in sight. It was silent in the entire area. Was Dr. Ilya Iofin out to lunch? Could be, but a three-hour lunch?! These are Mt. Sinai’s core values toward patient care, and the Cullman Family’s ideal for patient experience: Core Values Safety, Equity, Agility, Creativity, EMPATHY, Teamwork The Office of Patient Experience Patient Experience is the sum of all interactions that patients have with the Mount Sinai Health System. At Mount Sinai, we are committed to delivering safe, high quality, equitable, and compassionate care in every encounter with every patient who walks through our doors. The Cullman family has been a part of The Mount Sinai Hospital from its establishment in 1852. The Cullman Family recognizes that hospitals face enormous challenges in today’s world. Hospitals face barriers to providing individualized and personal attention to patients. The Cullman Institute works in partnership with the Board of Trustees, hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, trainees, clinicians from other disciplines and all staff members from the Mount Sinai Health System, recognizing that each individual makes a unique contribution to the patient’s experience. The representative’s resolution was that Dr. Ilya Iofin’s immediate “team” in this grand scheme of this Health System was told what to do for all patients that consult with him going forward. It was NOT a resolution for me! It’s not his “team” that caused the wait; it was Dr. Ilya Iofin himself. The first patient-care representative did speak to me about Dr. Ilya Iofin’s “subspecialty”, which is exactly when I stopped listening. Because he has a “subspecialty”, does this give him license to be uncivil, even apathetic? Am I to assume that Dr. Ilya Iofin is a demi-god whose aura is not to be penetrated by mere patient-care representatives? Is he exempt from exercising Mt. Sinai’s code of ethics toward his patients? What I got was prattle, nothing of any consequence to me and nothing related to the Cullman Family’s vision in the realm of patient care at Mt. Sinai. I have witnessed first-hand from a doctor, and heard from a nurse and a social worker that the atmosphere at Mt. Sinai is hostile. It seems to me, from what I observed, that the worker-bees (extensive staff of young women and men who are under the direct supervision of a particular physician), as in this case, Dr. Ilya Iofin, act and speak from a script with a sense of foreboding. Mt. Sinai is no longer my choice for my medical needs.
The worst billing department staff. Hope to never deal with them ever again. Nasty, disorganized, inaccurate, poor listening skills, unwilling to understand the customer’s right to explain. Horrible!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
