Disappointing First Experience with Appointment Scheduling I recently called to make an appointment as a new patient, having been newly diagnosed with PTC (Papillary Thyroid Cancer). It was a call I made with a mix of emotions, seeking care and support during a challenging time. Unfortunately, my experience left me quite disheartened. Upon calling, I was informed that the earliest available appointment was in April. I inquired if this schedule applied even to patients who had just been diagnosed with cancer, hoping for some understanding of the urgency. The response was surprisingly harsh, as the lady on the line confirmed that they had many cancer patients and the wait time applied to all. I couldn't help but feel a lack of empathy in her response. One would expect a medical institution, especially one that emphasizes patient care, to be more understanding and accommodating in such situations. It was disheartening to encounter such a response during a vulnerable time. While I understand the importance of patient load management, compassion and empathy should never be compromised. Ultimately, I decided to look for other options that may better align with my needs and expectations. It's unfortunate that my initial interaction with this clinic did not reflect the kind of care and support I had hoped to receive during my journey with PTC.
This Mount Sinai specialty clinic has to be the most unethical one, with the worst customer service. I've called to schedule an appointment at least 10 times for the past week, regarding a referral I have. I keep leaving my contact information and no one has called me back yet. RIDICULOUS!
Great doctors and care! Can be a bit of a wait for drop by bloodwork but come in on non busy days and you should be good.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
