My husband has been seeing Dr Wang for the last couple of weeks to help with his intractable hiccups. Prior to seeing Dr Wang he would have terrible hiccup attacks lasting for hours everyday. He now is practically hiccup free! Dr Wang is very personable and an expert in his field! Do not hesitate contacting Dr Wang for all your acupuncture needs.
My husband experienced a concussion five years ago. After the incident, he couldn’t work for six months due to severe vertigo and excruciating headaches. With lots of rest, he started feeling better and returned to work, but the dizziness and headaches have persisted since then. We’ve been seeing Dr. Wang for 21 sessions for my husband’s degenerative condition: Becker muscular dystrophy. While there is no treatment for his condition yet, we are hopeful that Traditional Chinese Medicine can help maintain his health while we wait for gene therapy to become available. Thanks to Dr. Wang, my husband’s dizziness is almost gone, and we truly appreciate him for helping my husband feel better.
UPDATE: When I was a new patient, after each session, I saw immediate, temporary blood pressure lowering effects lasting 1-2 days. That really lowered my worries and showed me the possibilities of improving my bp naturally. Now, after a few months of steady acupuncture sessions with Dr. Wang, along with incorporating mindful eating habits, exercising, and relaxation methods, my blood pressure has normalized to a healthy range for the long term. HOORAY! For the future, I plan to go into "maintenance mode" with Dr. Wang - it's something I would like to do for a peace of mind to stay happy and healthy with the benefits of acupuncture. Thanks Dr. Wang!
Dr. Wang is a kind-hearted doctor who really cares for his patients. When I first came to him, I was an emotional mess dealing with anxiety and PTSD. I had just recently had a major trigger and was experience a strange breathing problem where my breaths would just stop whenever I tried to go to sleep at night. My heart was also skipping beats 24% of the time (reading from my heart monitor) and my Cardiologist insisted that I needed to have surgery (Cardiac Ablation). I had seen several different doctors and specialists who all had no answers about my breathing issues and they hid behind their skepticism of whether I was even truly having those symptoms. Dr. Wang, however, was honest and didn't claim to have the answer himself, but he shared his own personal story of when he was once a young man who struggled with something similar. He had a suspicion that all my symptoms might have shared the same source of problem - anxiety. So he said, "Let's give it a try." After just the first treatment, that night was the first night in 3 weeks that I was able to sleep more than 5 hours. I slept for 7 whole hours. Then on the next night, I slept for 8 hours and knew that it could not have just been luck. The acupuncture was working. So I immediately called him to schedule another appointment right away, and another, and then another. I wound up seeing him 3x a week for about 3 weeks. That was all it took for me to see all my symptoms go away about 85-90%. No more need for heart surgery. And during that whole time, he did not try to prescribe me any herbs. When I had asked why, he simply said that he wanted to wait and see. That showed me that he was genuinely trying to do the right thing for me and not simply trying to make more money. This was my first real acupuncture experience and I walked in as a skeptic. But I can honestly say that I'm a believer now. And I trust Dr. Wang.
I don't ever write reviews, but I just have to say - seeing Dr. Wang is one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I went in for something specific and found a whole world of health here. My plan is to go once a month soon, probably for the rest of my life.
With acupuncture and Chinese herbs, Dr. Wang has improved my digestive issues over 6 sessions while also improving my overall mental health. The acupuncture feels unlike any other acupuncture I've had before and I walk out of every appointment feeling noticeably calmer, relaxed and energized. His rates are affordable and I will continue seeing Dr. Wang consistently to improve my health in other ways as well. Great bedside manner. Clean, quiet office in a central Manhattan location. HIGHLY recommended
I wrote a review for a neurologist who comes across as nice but lied to me. Just because someone is nice doesn't mean you should still question their motives. Please question and to the truth when it comes to your health and healing the right way. Some drs may have good intentions yet still be tempted to see what they can get away with when they have an agenda and use their power to achieve their agenda. That was my experience throughout my journey to heal until I found dr shaobai Wang . With dr Wang I started healing. And this what I wrote about the unscrupulous neurologist, urging patients to go see Dr. Shaobai Wang who REALLY KNOWS WHAT HES DOING: Dr Larissa Lempert is a nice person, but used her niceness to lure me into spending out of pocket money for cupping. It is illegal for her to practice acupuncturist techniques without a license. Should something go wrong, she can lose her practice. She knows my situation. I spent the money out of desperation to heal my pain, but to no avail. She gages your pocket and tries to convince you to spend money on her program because she needs to generate income to heal her children. She also uses psychology to get in your head. She knew I wanted to have children and made me believe at first that the infrared lamp was to treat the mitochondria for fertility. Every acupuncturist has an infrared lamp. She is not a fertility expert and cannot help anyone with fertility. She's a liar. She doesn't have anything she's promoting in her brochures. I had migraines and after seeing Dr. Shaobai Wang (who treats just about anything - migraines and fertility), I was feeling good after just 1 session and didn't spend what I wasted on dr lempert. I urge people to see Dr Shaobai Wang. He's a master in acupuncture and KNOWS what he's doing and has morals values and ethics to not rip off people out their pain. After 5 sessions with dr Wang , I was feeling happy and healthy again. I asked her to refund me the $3,200 so I can apply it to my holistic healing and refused. She knows I'm about natural healing and she's pretending to know how to use energy to heal. Don't spend on dime out of pocket. She has no integrity and is probably using her kindness to build back up her reviews. She's not truly honest. She assumes and uses psychology. She has anxiety, and I recognized it because I was suffering from anxiety and migraines. She's really desperate to heal her kids but she's not doing it the right way by ripping peoples pocket and lying. The only way she can heal her kids is through natural remedies and that cost a lot of money in America. Hence, the program she talks about. Don't do it! She doesn't know what she's doing when it comes to natural healing. She shouldn't lie to her patients just because and use her power just because she knows the right way and the expense to heal someone naturally. She knows who she can lure and who she cannot. After seeing Dr. Shaobai Wang my headaches and anxiety were gone
Dr. Wang is an acupuncture master. I have a herniated disc in my neck and his acupuncture treatment was the only source of pain relief. He can ease anxiety and stress effectively, among numerous other targeted results. Wish I could go everyday!
5 STARS for Dr. Wang! Dr. Wang is an amazing acupuncturist. My husband and I are seeing Dr. Wang for 3 years and throughout this time for several issues all of which he treated with great success. Not only did our health improve but also our overall appearance. He is very knowledgeable, smart and has a great sense of humor. Dr. Wang's office is conveniently located at the 7th Ave stop on the D train.
Dr. Wang is one of the best Chinese doctors in town for acupuncture, capping and Chinese herbs. He is very sharp in diagnostics and very knowledgeable and experienced for various situations. His office is also very accessible and neat. Highly recommend!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
