I attended a talk with Dr. Jolie Silva and am incredibly grateful to have her as a resource. She combines expertise with warmth and empathy, making it easy to feel understood and supported. She is tapped into what modern parents worry about and listens without judgement, while also providing practical advice. An excellent resource for any parent.
So helpful for my boys 3 and 5 and for myself
Dr. Silva is an amazing resource for any parent. Her exercises of the mind help zone in on what is important to us on a daily basis and how to balance everyday and specific stresses in a very approachable way. Over and beyond her seminars are extremely collaborative in binding our community. It is truly a relief to work with Dr. Silvia.
I recently attended the seminar, Parents Spread Too Thin, presented by Dr. Jolie Silva. Normally it can be challenging to attend these sorts of things with 4 young children at home, but the name of the seminar was something I could strongly relate to. The presentation was terrific and I am so happy I went. Dr. Silva is extremely knowledgable, well spoken, and keeps the topic relevant and informative. I came out feeling more confident on how to handle stressful situations through breathing techniques and meditation strategies, such as leaves on a stream. I look forward to future seminiars with Dr. Silva!
Great practice with so much knowledge and support to offer. Would recommend to anyone.
I attended Dr.Jolie Silva's NS CASA talk last week. The topic was parents being spread too thin. I found the exercises (for the mind) she lead us through very grounding, calming & helpful. As parents it's definitely necessary to take time to center ourselves & block out the noise & let go of the anxiety & tension we hold onto. She gaves us helpful tools to do that. I also found it helpful to be reminded that some problems we can't change or fix but we can change how we react. I appreciate how Dr. Silva address real issues with honest & insightful & practical solutions.
I can never reach anyone at their office to answer questions and they return calls infrequently.
I recently attended a talk that Dr Silva did for our community (free of charge) that addressed children, tweens and adolescents. Dr Silva went over issues with behavior, social media, devices, sleep, diet, bullying and so much more. She covered all areas in a short amount of time and stayed back for questions. I would highly recommend her or anyone else on her team for therapy. She is not only a highly experienced therapist but her work is all scientifically based and most importantly she is a mother and shared her personal experiences.
I attended Dr Jolie Silva’s CASA workshop and It was enlightening and informative. She was super easy to talk to and I felt so comfortable asking questions. I would definitely attend another one of her workshops soon and look forward to it!!
I am beyond grateful for the knowledge and experience that Dr. Silva and her team has brought to our community. I am both a personal patient of New York Behavioral Health and have attended a speech that Dr. Silva gave at our local coalition about parenting and mental health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
