DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Be aware - They say they take your insurance and that it's covered - then they have you in for a few visits only to tell you that you are NOT covered, bill your insurance anyway for a 200 dollar "office visit," then bill you the rest of the charges. I am sorry but charging my insurance company 450 dollars for one visit is downright wrong, especially since I was told by both Ying Zhao and my insurance company that I'm in network. Like the other negative review, it's true. All true.
I have been going to Ying for longer than I can remember for my migraines. They always get better when I go regularly. She is very kind, proficient and always makes time for me regardless of how busy it is. The office is very convenient and I highly recommend her.
I’m rid of my tinnitus thanks to Ying. She was recommended by my doctor and I highly recommend her too.
Ying has been treating me for over 10 year and I am forever greatful for her services. She has helped with everything from anxiety, chronic pain, allergies, and GI issues. She has been my only regular healthcare provider for my 16 years in NYC and continue my weekly sessions to further promote my health and well-being. Thank you!
QUACK! This office is running by a solo unprofessional practitioner, who does not know what she is doing and what she is treating to patient! She causes more disaster I never had! She damages patient's health, make false record and submit large amount of fraudulent medical bills by using another office address to steal patient's insurance. A year ago, I had consultation in this office. In order to bill my insurance for acupuncture, during my consultation, Zhao aggressively placed a large amount of cupping on top of my ENTIRE SPINE, she also however, flagrantly falsely blamed to someone else. Zhao fooled me that she had thirty(30) years of medical experience both from China and United States. Her ignorance of mis "diagnosis" for my medical conditions, which caused me bad pain, horrible skin irritation with large area red rash around my neck and back, and full of pimples PERMANENTLY staying on my skin in my body!! I have contacted her office an numerous times. Zhao flagrantly deny what she awfully did to me and my health! Zhao is also a downright unethical liar on medical billing to insurance. Right after her dreadful "treatment." She dared to falsely bill three(3) acupuncture on my one time visit for my coverage to my insurance, that I have NEVER seen any doctor who performed REAL acupuncture treatment in greater New York area! This must be how this office stealing patient's insurance to support its unethical office running. Yes, I am the only patient there on my visit. On her brazen denial of mistreatment medically and false billing to the insurance, her issue has been submitted to the state of board review. If you looking for treatment, there are many good and decent acupuncturist in NYC who is medically knowledgeable and ethically disciplined. Don't be FOOLED by Zhao, her false advertisement and her untruthfully stated web! This review is star FIVE(5) NEGATIVE! ...... e.g. You can clearly review her lies proven in her comment below. Her "nicely" respond to someone else and brazently put the blame to someone else. It's warning sign of her – Good doctor does not "running" business on reviews. Don't let Zhao to hurt you behind her smile! This kind of cheating fool that hardly to see!
I am over the moon ecstatic with Dr. Guiteg Wang and the NYC Acupuncture Center for my weight loss so far of 14 pounds achieved in about 7 weeks under his care and treatment. Before I began with Dr. Wang for weight loss , only in my imagination did I see those pounds going away. I had pretty much resigned myself at my current age of 69 years old to having pudginess around the middle and to gaining more and more weight as I got older. Boy, was I wrong about this, Dr. Wang was right, and might I add that each time he checked my weight he was almost as happy as I was with the loss. Dr. Wang has many years of experience as an acupuncturist in China and the United States- no Johnny come lately to this whole thing. Also,I have many years experience as am a used to be jock. The big deal is that now with Dr. Wang's acupuncture treatment and his assistance and with diet moderation I am approaching my playing weight of decades ago!!! I'm over the moon ecstatic with my results and with Dr. Wang.
This is my first time to review on this platform but I would like to say that doc Wang is the best you are going to find if you want the most authentic acupuncture experience in NYC. He trained in China in the best schools for acupuncture. No doubt you will be in good hands.
Excellent acupuncturist! Wonderful bedside manner. 100% results
As appreciation to the Asian traditional method of holistic medicine I experienced acupuncture. The secretary Hillary is amiable. I called to verify my visit then due to my iron deficiency I called to cancel & the sir I spoke to previously answered -I asked whom he was, surprisingly it was Dr.Wang himself! I told him I would speak to my internist. Dr.Wu returned my call advising me that the needles should be sterile & to visit him if I needed anything. On November 2016 I went to Dr.Wang's. I was tired on that day out of some matters. The male clerks are kind, one opened the glass door for me.When I arrived construction men were inside & I asked where is 7F, one courteously opened the 7F door for me. Dr. Wang is a gent with exactitude & eloquence. He took my pressure with a sphygmomanometer, checked my tongue, pulse on wrists, he said acupuncture could strengthen immune system. He showed to me a Queen bee jelly for future purchase. He led me to another room where he requested me to remove my boots & socks. I privately did & laid at the acupuncture bed. Dr.Wang placed towels under my head & underneath my legs he positioned two pillows. He rubbed alcohol on me. With windspeed certainty he inserted 3 needles on each hand & wrist area & on the legs (each 2 needles) for a total of ten needles on that day. The ones on the legs were for estrogen (healthy menstruation) & those on hand/wrist for lungs. Some needles felt like stings - 3 felt pierced. He jokingly told me he would check up on me in half an hour & smiled "in 2 minutes" since it is your first visit. Before leaving he advised "relax, loosen muscles, meditate." I felt calm,a burning, tingling numbness as the needles revitalized my blood circulation. On my right hand & left leg I felt a tense immobilizing sensation -he said it was normal (de-qi sensation). In 20 minutes or so he turned on the lights & with martial-like ability removed the needles & rubbed alcohol. On the right hand it took hours for numbness to fade but weeks for tingling to gradually diminish. Just a day before my visit on December 2016 I called to see if my appointment hour could be changed. Dr.Wang returned the call & opportunely changed the hour. We discussed my blood test (low ferritin & iron saturation). He told me to undress and left. I undressed & laid down on bed with just my brassiere & a bath towel to cover the privates. Later, he decently went to another room to fetch a bath towel to cover my brassiere as well as adjusted my legs. He came back to get 1 more needle for right arm -he took it out from his signature black suit & assuringly inserted it. This time 9 needles in total. 2 on the sides of hands,2 on both lower arms, 1 on each lower part of legs & 1 on each side part of legs. He inserted 1 needle nearly two inches below my belly button -he first raised my panties upward twice to check position & then lowered it down back. That insertion was for immune system & it left a purple circle mark for weeks (normal bruise). Dr.Wang came back. Soreness, itchiness -eventual healing can be felt within a couple of hours or days. When I left a man unlocked the inside door for I to exit (since it is residential) -I said Happy New Year & the man & two Asians in lobby said likewise. On my 3rd visit right after I finished my botox injections with Dr.Edward Kwak on Park Avenue, I arrived at Lexington. Dr.Wang told me he knew Dr.Kwak & that he was good. Dr.Wang showed me thinner needles that could be used on my face on a future visit. This day he directed me to a pretty room inside his office. He inserted 2 needles on hands, 2 on top of feet & 2 on both sides of my legs for hormone health. As I laid I could feel the botox numbness, soreness & aching feeling of all the needles. I told Dr.Wang that it is incredible that he has learned so many acupuncture body points (hundreds+). Quite a feat! He said that they gave him a thin book but years of practice is how he mastered it. He offers private home visits for acupuncture & massage. Dr.Wang is a guru in his field!

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
