Dr. Ana Tuyama of NYGA wasted three hours of my life for NOTHING. Very unpleasant person. She made me wait for almost an hour without an apology. She refused to perform a sigmoidoscopy -- which I need. I studied my situation, and discussed this with my primary physician in detail, and KNEW what I wanted. But she declined to listen to my reasoning. She didn't even seem to follow along, even though I explained it THREE times carefully. She didn't care and wasn't listening. She even refused to recommend anybody who WOULD do a sigmoidoscopy. She's a horrific person and doctor. By not doing this necessary procedure she may have literally KILLED me.
Exceptional physicians, PAs, and nurses, plus terrific staff. NYGA provides excellent, wise, and thougtful care.
Dr. Miller is the best doctor i have ever had. Always addresses my concerns. Gets back to me promptly. Extremely knowledgeable and competent.
Excellent physician. I have been seeing him for years. He explains details well.
Dr. Leong spent nearly an hour with me. Not only did I feel heard, I also felt understood. When I left, I felt like we were on the same page with a mutual interest in my health and curiosity about my liver. I look forward to future visits as we start down a new path towards some answers!
Terrible experience- do not go there!! They dont care about patients -you are a number, a cog in a machine. I saw two doctors both talked down to me, scolded me, didnt listen to my concerns. I had a bad reaction to antibiotics emded up in hospital. ER doctor said to switch to a different regimen. I asked the doctor to switch it up. He said no told me I need to wait a few weeks even though I’m in acute pain.
Dr. Leong is a compassionate Physician and listens to her patients needs and addresses them fully.
extremely caring and a wonderful doctor. Highly recommended.
felt very dismissive and transactional. i called to reschedule because i caught a nasty cold and instead of “hey i hope you feel better” it was… “you’re going to be charged $100 for cancelling”.
I have been trying to schedule a test with NYGA for almost 3 months now. I have had to reschedule 2x and this has resulted in my test being pushed out a whole other month. I am experiencing digestive issue which have made it difficult for me to eat more than one meal a day. Once you are able to see the doctors they are lovely, but very disappointed in their scheduling team and will consider other doctors in the future.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
