Staff issue and incompetent food is alright though

My first experience here was hobbling in, with back pain so bad I couldn't cough or sit up without intense pain. I left and was able to walk and move like a regular human again. In the two years since, they've taken great care of me and kept me feeling so much better. I highly recommend them.

NYC spine care also known as NYC Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, and Acupuncture have incompetent people working there. I was injured in 2018 from Physical Therapist Maria Angelica Japos while I was under her care on the PT table. She had injury to my left hip and lower back that required surgery and after over five years of Rehab Im still trying to recover.

I sustained an injury while doing physical therapy under their care. I've been seeing a chiropractor and physical therapist elsewhere for the past year because of this injury. The way they handled it afterwards was absolutely disgusting and I've filed a complaint of negligence under Dr. Randy Stephan license with the office of the professions.

Just like alot of other reviewers, i paid the $100, then they billed my insurance, twice after they are apparently in-network. The amount of energy and time i have spent trying to get reimbursed is crazy! The chiropractor stretched my back out well, and that's the reason i didn't give them one star. Not going back.

So a lot of reviewers like myself have misinformation as the insurance billing for chiros and in general are extremely complicated. I'll just speak for myself, I checked with in network and out of network chiros and the out of pocket of $100 was the same because I didn't meet my deductible for the year. There's nothing that can be done about this and it is what it is. If you need a chiropractor and a massage therapist will properly treat you however this place is it. They generally give me an adjustment but then also address the issue with stretching and massage. All in all when I don't take care of myself and stretch enough my discs slip my muscles tense up and "lock" into a position that generally causes me pain. The folks at NYC chiro are great and take care of my issues medical billing aside which as I've stated above in many cases you will have to pay what you pay out of pocket or via your flex spending account. I know that this is a financial burden but it has nothing to do with the quality of care given which has always been terrific for me. They are a pain saver and located downtown which is perfect for me.

This place sucks. Both the doctor and my insurance told me this place was in network before I booked. I was asked to pay $100 since my deductible was not met. I later found out that I never needed to pay that fee and they choose to bill me out of network. On top of that, they spent more time trying to get me to buy a cleanse package then answering questions about my kyphosis. I have been fighting for my fee back for 2 weeks because the "only person" who can refund me was on vacation. Next stop is the better business bureau.
