40 years ago this week Dr Isom saved my life. My aortic valve was overwhelmed with calcification and hanging by a thread. Needless to say I was also overwhelmed with terrible symptoms. At 1 month from my 29th birthday, 2 months away from my wife giving birth to our third daughter and 6 months away from our 30th wedding anniversary, I had a lot to live for. Dr. Isom placed a porcine valve in place. So here I am still craving pork chops, fried rice, spare ribs and bacon. When the weather is hot I love to wallow in cool mud and grunt. Performed quadruple bi-pass over 18 years ago on me at Columbia /NYU Hospital....obviously, he does excellent work and has an experienced and efficient staff.

He beats to his own drum. He forms opinions based on the facts, not necessarily what other doctors said. He is a brilliant doctor and you could not find a brighter more caring doctor anywhere. He is one of a kind and other doctors not affiliated with his hospital speak of him as a legend which I believe he is. He is down to earth, hands on, kind and treats you like you are part of his family.

Dr Isom saved my life with open heart surgery in 2001. In 2010 I had a issue with my heart and he got me in touch with a Doctor that did a Heart Ablation. He did it again.
