Omni Eye Services - Manhattan's Online Review Report Card

I went to Omni last year for cataract surgery evaluation. While it was my understanding (from their evaluating staff) that laser surgery option was not going to significantly benefit my vision, Dr. Rosenberg led me to believe otherwise. I left with the suspicion that that was because they charged $3k per eye (out of pocket for me) for the laser option. It left me feeling like I couldn't trust her. I decided to wait a year and just had it done by another group, who were straight in confirming my understanding about the benefits of the laser option and the results are amazing. I wish I had had better vision for the intervening year and, more, that Dr. Rosenberg had been straight with me. She may be a fine surgeon, but I'll never know because I felt like I couldn't trust her and that feeling turned out to be correct. I only hope that if they read this, they become straight with their patients going forward, although my fear is, rather, that they admonish the staff for being honest to the detriment of their economics.

I needed to see a doctor right away and Omni found an opening for me. All the staff and Dr. Grayson were wonderful and solved my problems I can highly recommend them as caring medical staff and expert medical people Frances Carlisle

My appointment was for 8:30 am. I was told to expect to be there for a few hours. So I was prepared for a lot of sitting around. I was pleasantly surprised when they called my name by 8:40am. They began the testing. There were a number of tests. I felt they were very thorough. Dr Rosenberg took her time explaining the results. I left feeling good about the whole experience. Dr Rosenbetg and her staff from the women at the front desk to the various staff performing the tests were kind and professional. I would highly recommend this office. Although I was there 2 hours i spent little time just sitting around.

I don’t understand the few negative reviews here. From the call center staff to reception, technicians, and especially Dr. Naguib, every part of this practice has been outstanding. They are professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring and handle everything with attention, patience, and genuine concern. It is always made clear that they prioritize both thorough care and patient comfort.

My visit to Omni Eye Services Manhattan left much to be desired. While the technicians were polite and thorough, the experience with the doctors,particularly Dr. Rosenberg and the second examining doctor was dismissive and unprofessional. Despite my valid concerns, I was brushed off with comments about my age and told to ‘just wear glasses,’ even though my issue persisted. Worse yet, as I was leaving, one of the doctors openly discussed my case with the front desk staff, stating aloud that they didn’t know what to bill my insurance since it wasn’t cataract. This is unacceptable and breaches patient privacy. The front desk staff was also inconsistent, with one member being notably unkind. Patients deserve dignity, clarity, and respect, especially when dealing with their health concerns. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking thoughtful or attentive care. Your age or condition should never determine the level of respect or attention you receive in healthcare. Healthcare is about people, not just procedures, and this office needs to remember that.

Everyone was friendly and Professional I felt right at ease as a patient. It was a next level experience

My post surgery followup appointments were very stressful. My appointments always started late even when I was the first person in the waiting room. Upon getting into a room, the technician never said his name, huffed like he was bored and barely answered my questions. Dr. Chan could be abrupt when addressing my concerns. Billing could never answer my questions.

Technician that tested my eyes was very nice and professional. Wait time was not bad at all. Dr Chin (not sure of the spelling) examined me first, she was very knowledgeable and very nice, excellant bedside manner. Lastly I met Dr Rosenberg- she was professional and kind, very nice Dr , explained the procedure well. Very happy I decided to come into Manhattan opposed to finding a Dr on Staten Island. Very happy! Waiting for the call with dates for my surgery. Thank you to everyone who made this visit comfortable for a nervous me!
