List of Paul Choi Md's Reviews
Bad experience I should of known to not give them another try after such an bad time I had to spent after my colonospy few years back. All of there nurses and staff are really accommodating except the main rude doctor he seemed to be very annoyed by patients asking questions he will just rush you out and cut you off middle of conversation with such an bad rudeness attitude especially to korean elderly patients.I will never go back again.
I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy here today. I never leave reviews, but feel that I should warn other people as I would have liked to have been warned before having the procedures. First of all, the office and staff are very nice and friendly. I let them know that I have a high tolerance for sedatives and they insisted that I'd have more than the usual dose. For my previous colonoscopy (by a different doctor), I was given anesthesia and don't remember anything. For this, I remember just about everything. I didn't realize it until I started to come off the sedative, but I remember the pain, squealing, and moaning I went through during the colonoscopy. It was terrible, and to be honest, the memory feels very traumatic. Hopefully this feeling will go away, and I'm very happy to have come out of this experience without any bad, serious outcomes. Just be warned, there is a chance that you will feel everything. They do not offer anesthesia here. I wish I had known before. Other patients seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep, as I heard them snoring after. I wasn't that lucky. If you have any worries at all about your tolerance to sedatives, I strongly recommend you go somewhere else for these procedures.
I've tried twice to schedule an appointment here. My medical group assured me they had faxed over a referral with my demographics (and had called the second time to verify it was received), but when I called Dr. Choi's office myself, I was told they couldn't find anything... BOTH TIMES. Whomever the office contact was, she acted completely obtuse about it, and didn't seem interested in helping me figure out what the problem might have been. She acted like she couldn't get off the phone quickly enough, even though I was trying to be as nice and friendly as possible.I suspect they just didn't want to take me on as a new patient for whatever reason, and instead of being honest and direct, they decided to give me the runaround. Bear in mind, too, that I had to call on various days at various times just to finally get a hold of someone.Bad vibes overall. Unprofessional, rude office people. And I believe that a doctor's office reflects his/her actual service and care to patients. So I advise... STAY AWAY!
I went here to get an upper endoscopy about a month ago. Afterward I felt nausea dizzy, and then noticed black stool which means that I had internal bleeding. I went to the emergency room next morning and was told that if had waited few hours I may have died. when I told that doctor who performed the procedure and also Dr. choi, they denied any responsibility saying that's a one in a ten thousand chance occurrence. They also said that I was unlucky. I do not recommend anyone to go to this facility if value your life
I'm 52 and I know I've needed this colonoscopy for a while now. The whole process made me nervous, nervous about the preparation, nervous about the procedure and also about what results might come about.Just want to let you know, Dr. Choi's staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the facility is clean and modern and comfortable, and in the end the procedure was literally less trouble then the preparation. These guys are not only friendly and professional, but very competent and confident. Just what you want in someone looking after your well-being and health. I can't recommend Pail Choi enough.
Thank you Dr for helping me,I was scared of my results but you are a great Dr,also the colonoscopy dident hurt me at all without sedation. You are the best thank you. Tony L
I just did my first colonoscopy today with Dr. Paul M Choi and it went fast without knowing of any pain or discomfort. They were very caring and kind and the nurses are organize and do step by step explanation of the procedure and they make sure your comfortable all the time during the procedure.Overall, my experience from them was great and will surely come back and recommend people to their office. The prices of the procedures was affordable too compare that to other places that are too expensive. Once again, thank you so Dr. Paul M Choi and to your team!
Just got my endo- and colo- procedures here and I CANNOT thank them enough !!!!!!! Literally the ENTIRE staff from the front desk, to the cute intake nurse [lol], to Dr. Choi himself have been EXTREMELY kind and as helpful as possible from the moment I walked in! I was referred here by a friend from church and I am SO GLAD I chose to come here! These are strange times for most medical facilities, due to Covid-19, and I can tell they are doing their very best to get things done and be as accommodating as possible, and most importantly to actually CARE for their patients, and make you feel comfortable while doing a very professional job. The prices were also reasonable, after doing some comparisons. 5/5 stars all the way!!!!
A little annoyed they charged so much but they worked with me on pricing. In the end, I feel like the adjustment was fair.
He once told me you can't have food allergies. Think about it.... food allergies. He said "for example someone can't just be allergic to rice, people eat rice all the time." He took out polyps and didn't have them biopsied. No doctor I've been to has ever heard of that. Stay away.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
