Dr George was great. He explained my condition and I felt very comfortable with his recommendation to cure. Surgery was minimally invasive and I was back at work in four days. Two weeks after the surgery I am able to resume exercise and my normal activities.

I recommend Dr. George for your hernia surgery. He is skilled and highly professional. I had never had surgery before, and he took the time to explain everything that I might expect. My procedure went off without a hitch and now I am fully recovered. Highly recommended.

I had never had surgery before, so I was obviously nervous about it all. But Dr. George and his staff made the process as easy and painless as possible. The procedure itself went as expected (except for the discovery of two additional hernias, which Dr. George took care of). I highly recommend Dr. George for all of your hernia needs!

I highly recommend Dr Philip George, especially if you require complicated hernia repair. Having had previous hernia repair, Dr George was able to do minimally invasive robotic hernia repair. He explained what would happen in language that was easy to understand, followed up after recovery, and answered any questions I had. All his staff and the staff at Columbia were amazing.

I got an epigastric hernia doing a dumb exercise in the gym. As a weightlifter in my mid-20s who had never had surgery, I was nervous it would interfere long-term with training. I passed on a list of nearby surgeons from CityMD and sought recommendations from doctors in my family. I got treatment from Dr. George at Columbia Hernia Center, and from my first visit he completely understood my situation. He was highly professional and knowledgeable, and explained why an incisional repair was the best option for me. He ended up going above and beyond, with my consent repairing a genetic belly button hernia I didn't even realize I had at the same time. He planned the incision to leave minimal visible scarring, which worked, and the surgery was without any complication. After a month, I'm restarting weight training. I can't imagine anything that would constitute better hernia care than what I received from Dr. George and staff, including excellent nurse practitioner Tori Consalvo!!
