My mom has been a patient of Dr Bukberg for over 20 years..I am now her POA and escort her to her appointments. dr Bukberg is caring, efficient, amazing physician. Young physicians should model his dedication, knowledge and efficiency in providing care .. I am so grateful..
The best! One of the very best doctors I’ve ever had. He’s smart, professional, caring and really concerned. Determined that no stone is unturned. I’ve seen him for 15 years for my diabetes. More than once he’s found non-diabetic issues that my other doctors didn’t. It’s well worth the wait of a few months for new patients. After that first appointment scheduling is easy.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Bukberg for 8 years now and his is, by far, the most outstanding physician I’ve ever worked with. He sets the bar. He is thorough and meticulous. He treats the whole patient, not just individual symptoms or ailments. Despite being my endocrinologist and not my GP, he has a comprehensive understanding of my overall health and keeps up to date with current studies to offer well-researched sound advice. I cannot recommend him enough.
Very thorough, knowledgeable and caring. Attentive to the smallest details.
Especially caring in diagnosing medical problems and Recommending available medications and follow-up Solutions.
Dr. Bukberg is one of the last of a breed of doctors that truly live their work and treat patients with love and understanding. He goes out of his way to be very thorough. I never want to lose him as a doctor!
5 Staff 3 Punctuality 1 Helpfulness 1 Knowledge I accompanied my 25 yo daughter for support after a prior negative visit to another endo. Our PCP recommended him for a second opinion, saying he was caring and great. Well, I don't know what set him off, but he obviously formed an opinion of us the moment we came in, and was rude and condescending. He said gruffly he would do no more than the other doctor had. As she tried to speak to him, without study or examination, he blurted out strange diagnosis, almost as if they were sins. He told my daughter she had sleep apnea (?!) She didn't, she never has had. He told her she was depressed. She wasn't, she never was. Whatever protest we gave he threw something else out that was totally off the wall or nasty. Finally the kicker as she tried to appeal to his common sense that something wasn't right: She said there's obviously something wrong. The only way I lost weight in the past was to not eat and exercise 4 hours a day. (From which she had developed an eating disorder, was seriously ill for a year with mono, kidney and liver infection, and was determined to never do that again) Well, he snapped, just do that again. Wh-what? She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Just do that again, he told her to her amazed face. And that was the end of the appointment. I have to say this was at least 5 years ago, but I'm writing it now because it has haunted me. I can still hear him say that. I've never had a stranger, more rude, disturbing experience with a doctor in my life. Maybe you'll get him on a good day. But my daughter was hysterical when she left. No good doctor should ever cause that reaction from a patient when it's not related to a diagnosis.

First I would like to say Dr Bukberg is an awesome Endocrinologist. I been with him for over 15 years and I've know he truly care about his patients. It's not just a job to him it a lifestyle for him to make sure his patients are ok. There was a time I didn't have a PCP and he took care of me until I found one. Specialty drs don't normally do that. There was another time back in 2008 I was admitted in the hospital he came to the hospital to check on me. To no avail I would recommend.
I really wish I could write about the doctor, but thanks to the RUDE receptionist that might never happened. I called to schedule an appointment almost a month in advanced. However, the day before my appointment, the receptionist calls me with the nastiest tone to remind me of my appointment. She then proceeds to ask me if I know what to bring, so I ask, but then she mentions I need my old test results for tomorrow. UH... Scheduled a month ago, and I couldn't get the results from 3 different doctors all in Miami with less than 24 hours. Long story not so long, she advised I reschedule, so I just cancelled. Her tone, attitude, and lack of preparedness really turned me off to ever dealing with her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
