I have my grs with Dr. Rachel and all I can say is thank you doctor for such an amazing job she delivered more than what I was expecting I’m now 8 months post op. She and her team will make you feel save and welcome . Dr Rachel if you read this thank you for giving me my life and body back !!!!!

AMAZING surgeon!Originally went for a consult with her when I was 17, finally got top surgery when I turned 18. She’s always been my #1 choice and she also has an amazing bed side manner. She’s really funny and willing to go the extra mile for her patients. I recently scheduled phalloplasty with her and have been counting down the days.I’ve had several surgeries within my life and so far my NYU experience has definitely surpassed them all. The care from the team was excellent and I also had a beautiful view of Manhattan and the Roosevelt Bridge.If anyone has any questions or just wants someone to talk to about the whole surgery experience, feel free to hit me up! Today was my consultation for Phalloplasty with Dr Rachel bluebond she was very Professional very nice and she explain everything clearly to me she took measurements of my arm told me i should start hair removal on my arm because it may take a while also my bmi is 39 and to be on the safe side the BMI for surgery should be under 35 because of complications im very happy that i decided to choose her as my surgeon ! I heard from many people that she is the best in new york for top surgery as well! I have friends who results are amazing so I recommend her 100%

Dr. Rachael Bluebond-Langner was very cold towards me and suggested I try physical therapy to deal with the blocked colon canal that's spilling out of my genital area. Basically told me to give up on the idea of ever being free from pain or having a sex life. I'm 23. MTFtoFtM.

Dr. Bluebond-Langer, and her whole team (Nathan Levitt, Cheryl, and all of the other nurses, technicians, and administrative workers) are beyond incredible. I never anticipated I would be so privileged to receive the kind of care that I did for my top surgery. Since Day 1, I have felt that in Dr. Bluebond-Langer I have not only an extremely talented surgeon, but a fierce advocate as well. She and Nathan have established a precedent of trans healthcare that is likely the best in the entire world, and their commitment to treating patients who reflect the diversity of people within the trans and non-binary community is admirable. I have New York state medicaid, and did not pay anything for my surgery or my post-surgery care.I have come to develop relationships with the whole team, because their department has patients come back multiple times after their procedures for post-op check-ins and ongoing care. I have felt listened to, supported, and cared for over the course of the last 1.5 years since my surgery.I've attached a photograph of myself, 1 year post-op.I recommend Dr. Bluebond-Langner and her team to anyone considering gender-confirmation surgery. The care you will receive is well worth the wait. I hope she realizes the degree to which she has positively impacted the lives of so many trans and non-binary people.

Dr Rachel Bluebond-Langner is the personification of the Hippocratic Oath and a very humble caring surgeon with amazing skills. I met Dr Bluebond for the first time at my consultation January 10, 2017, shortly after she started her practice at NYU Langone Medical Center.It was the best consultation and I felt an immediate connection with her and decided she is a very special person. I never felt rushed and she answered my questions in a conversational way that made me feel so comfortable with her. If she would have me as her patient, I decided that day Dr Bluebond would be my surgeon.My surgery was August 31, 2017. I literally ran into the hospital the morning of surgery, so excited and happy, with no fears and completely confident in the outcome! It was an incredible experience made all the better by Dr Bluebond and her wonderful staff and the OR staff. The nurses on the floor were wonderful.I've since had many experiences with Dr Bluebond at various events and groups. She consistently puts her patients in the forefront, saying people need to hear from us about our lives and experiences. Such humility! She is an ally and advocate for the community and lives it completely. Her patients feel a strong sense of community with each other because of Dr Bluebond!Lastly, I was very depressed and miserable most of my life and my feelings of being female were constant 24/7. When I realized that I needed to transition and Dr Bluebond enabled me to continue my best possible life, I came alive; a very different person. Dr Bluebond saves lives! And she has inspired me to help others in the community.

I first met Dr. Bluebond-langner 4 years ago when I was searching for a surgeon specializing in transgender surgery who would accept my insurance. At the time, she was practicing at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. I was able to get an appointment, but learned she had accepted a position at NYU Langone. Dr. Bluebond-Langner was still willing to meet with me. I was transitioning late in life (age 65). My spouse accompanied me to the appointment where we both found her to be warm and accepting. Dr. Bluebond-Langner thoroughly explained the procedures I was going to have and all of my options. My spouse and I found her to be so awesome that I had to follow her to NY. The best decision I ever made. Since my consult had already been done in Maryland, I was able to get surgery dates pretty quick. I had top and bottom surgery a month apart without any problems. Dr. BlueBond-Langner’s practice has grown tremendously since that time, however, she still takes the time out to answer an e:mail with any questions I may have. Until COVID, I had been traveling from Phila to NYC for regular check ups. I recommend her every chance I get to folks seeking a top notch surgeon, consummate professional and just a truly awesome person!

Horrible doctor if you are a man looking for bottom surgery. Truly not competent in that field and should not list herself as such.
