I saw Dr. Bochner for unbearable pain in both my upper arms. He took x-rays which indicated arthritis. Physical therapy was suggested without assurances. The doctor was very attentive, professional, and answered all my questions. I asked for 2 cortisone shots which he gave me and I have not had any pain in my arms since. Any doctor who can help you get rid of such horrific pain is a great doctor in my book.
I have used Dr Bochner for over 20 years..he did surgery on both my knees and rebuilt my shoulder after tearing my rotator cuff and tearing my muscle in my bicep. He is very thorough and an excellent surgeon. When I broke my thumb in 7 places, he sent me to a hand surgeon..
I was Referred to Dr. Bochner for Surgery on my ULNA. He gave me the most comprehensive exam up to that date. Upon completion he said he wouldn't be doing the surgery and would refer me to a Hand surgeon I was at a low point. However last Friday I had the Surgery via Doctor Kate Nellans who is a Doctor in the Same Panel of specialists and and I soon understood the wisdom of his direction.. He guided me and Doctor Nellans picked up the ball I feel Great and I've come to understand, this journey is about discovery and I couldn't be more pleased. This isn't by Chance and I truly am Grateful.
Dr. Bochner is one of the best doctors I had consulted with. He projects a level of calmness that diminished my worries about my arm. He spends his time examining the source of pain and, most noteworthy is that, he does not rush in the process. He comes across as a competent, kind, medical professional who is well-mannered.I also appreciate Dr. Bochner's Physician Assistant, Ms. Kerry, who always returned my calls.
The doctor richard bochner is an excellent doctor,I had surgery on my left knee ,I feel very good now.
I went to get a 2nd opinion on my broken toe and was highly recommend but ended up being disappointed. Took a new X-ray even though I had take few days prior, that I don’t mind but what I did not appreciate was I wasn’t looked at thoroughly or give much input after I told him the history of the injury and what I was told by the first Doctor. You’d expect a lot more from highly experienced and seasoned Doctor, he was nice man but that’s not what this rating is about it’s about the care I was given.
I went to Dr. Bochner for a 2nd opinion. He took X-rays & I had a CD to give him of an MRI of my imaging. He essentially told me he has no clue what to do about my right shoulder and I said if I was your son what would you tell him to do and he simply said to go to a different doctor. Never in my life have I gone to a doctor and had them tell me that they have no clue what to do and to go see someone else.
Very poor. He represented the insurance carrier, not me as patient… no question.
I was with contact of the doctor for 5 minutes after 1 hour and 45 minutes after completing all the procedure to visit. Please schedule the doctor after reading the reviews. If you call the contact to schedule an orthopedic with Northwell Health, they will by default schedule him, so please do not fall in this trap.
I was discharged from LIJ hospital and was told to see an orthopedic as an outpatient and so I scheduled a visit. After meeting Dr. Bochner, he suggested that I have to see a rheumatologist. There was a team of rheumatologists in the hospital and they scanned and examined me, but they could find any problem related to their domain and therefore they told me to see an orthopedic. It was also clearly mentioned in my discharge papers.I brought this fact to the doctor and he did not say anything. Later, he suggested giving another orthopedic doctor's appointment. I was not able to walk and somehow spent my 2 hours in the facility only to be told to go somewhere else.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
