I saw Dr. Bochner for unbearable pain in both my upper arms. He took x-rays which indicated arthritis. Physical therapy was suggested without assurances. The doctor was very attentive, professional, and answered all my questions. I asked for 2 cortisone shots which he gave me and I have not had any pain in my arms since. Any doctor who can help you get rid of such horrific pain is a great doctor in my book.
I went to Dr. Bochner for a 2nd opinion. He took X-rays & I had a CD to give him of an MRI of my imaging. He essentially told me he has no clue what to do about my right shoulder and I said if I was your son what would you tell him to do and he simply said to go to a different doctor. Never in my life have I gone to a doctor and had them tell me that they have no clue what to do and to go see someone else.
Very poor. He represented the insurance carrier, not me as patient… no question.
I was discharged from LIJ hospital and was told to see an orthopedic as an outpatient and so I scheduled a visit. After meeting Dr. Bochner, he suggested that I have to see a rheumatologist. There was a team of rheumatologists in the hospital and they scanned and examined me, but they could find any problem related to their domain and therefore they told me to see an orthopedic. It was also clearly mentioned in my discharge papers.I brought this fact to the doctor and he did not say anything. Later, he suggested giving another orthopedic doctor's appointment. I was not able to walk and somehow spent my 2 hours in the facility only to be told to go somewhere else.
I was with contact of the doctor for 5 minutes after 1 hour and 45 minutes after completing all the procedure to visit. Please schedule the doctor after reading the reviews. If you call the contact to schedule an orthopedic with Northwell Health, they will by default schedule him, so please do not fall in this trap.
Went in for a visit in regards to pain in my shoulders.Barely did a test and scheduled an unnecessary X-ray (insurance scam)Then wrote me up for physical therapy. After my sessions expired i called to get an extension and he sent a script for 4 week extension (the physical therapy office did not have appointments for 3 weeks at that point so i only got one more session). When i called to get an extension- they claim i need to go back for evaluation. The physical therapy was helping so much and now im stuck waiting for an appointment for 2 months because he wants to charge my insurance to do nothing but write a referral and scam me for another copay.Use a better doctor. There are those out there who actually understand and try to help instead of just pull you in and waste your time for $15 copays.
Horrible experience,This place is just after your copay and to charge your insurance for tests that are unnecessary. For every little thing they force you to come into the clinic and sit there for hours to see a doctor for 2 minutes for something he could have done over the phone.
I went to see Dr. Buchner with terrible hip pain. He took X-rays and told me that I had arthritis. I was not surprised to hear that I had arthritis, but I knew that arthritis could not be causing me the pain I was experiencing. I asked him to please send me for an MRI and he told me that it wasn’t necessary. Needless to say, I got another opinion, was sent for an MRI and found out that I had tendinosis and tears in my gluteus minimus. I would not recommend this doctor!
I went to get a 2nd opinion on my broken toe and was highly recommend but ended up being disappointed. Took a new X-ray even though I had take few days prior, that I don’t mind but what I did not appreciate was I wasn’t looked at thoroughly or give much input after I told him the history of the injury and what I was told by the first Doctor. You’d expect a lot more from highly experienced and seasoned Doctor, he was nice man but that’s not what this rating is about it’s about the care I was given.
I have used Dr Bochner for over 20 years..he did surgery on both my knees and rebuilt my shoulder after tearing my rotator cuff and tearing my muscle in my bicep. He is very thorough and an excellent surgeon. When I broke my thumb in 7 places, he sent me to a hand surgeon..
The doctor richard bochner is an excellent doctor,I had surgery on my left knee ,I feel very good now.
Dr. Bochner is one of the best doctors I had consulted with. He projects a level of calmness that diminished my worries about my arm. He spends his time examining the source of pain and, most noteworthy is that, he does not rush in the process. He comes across as a competent, kind, medical professional who is well-mannered.I also appreciate Dr. Bochner's Physician Assistant, Ms. Kerry, who always returned my calls.
Dr bochner is the lowest of the low.I recently hurt my knee, and met with him on 3 separate times. After going to physical therapy for a month, and being told I have a tear in my meniscus, and mcl, they wanted an mri to confirm.Dr Bochner once again refused, treating me and making me feel I'm pulling somethingThis injury has caused me to start walking funny, and This weasel of a man told me I needed to see my spine surgeonReally?? For a knee injury.Makes total sense. Here's a thought, if you don't want to treat patents or give them the respect they deserve.Retire!!I hate you, now I have to find another Dr to give me the care I'm entitled to.
I was Referred to Dr. Bochner for Surgery on my ULNA. He gave me the most comprehensive exam up to that date. Upon completion he said he wouldn't be doing the surgery and would refer me to a Hand surgeon I was at a low point. However last Friday I had the Surgery via Doctor Kate Nellans who is a Doctor in the Same Panel of specialists and and I soon understood the wisdom of his direction.. He guided me and Doctor Nellans picked up the ball I feel Great and I've come to understand, this journey is about discovery and I couldn't be more pleased. This isn't by Chance and I truly am Grateful.
Jan. 2016Dr Richard Bochner saw me after I had been hit by a car as a pedestrian. I had extreme pain in my right shoulder my lower back and my right hip and thigh . Dr. Bochner seemed uninterested in my health and I felt as though he assumed I was acting by his demure . After examining my shoulder he prescribed me to physical therapy. Nearly 2 months later still havent been seen for my hip or thigh or back pain and I went back for a follow up . I have had no progress in my pain of my shoulder. I was told more therapy is needed . I mentioned an MRI and he said I don't need one . I requested again and he rolled his eyes but then gave the ok for one. When the results of the MRI came in Dr. Bochner told me over the phone that I'm ok and I had pre existing arthritis that was not accident related. I was outraged . I have never had pain before my accident and now this Dr. Barely looked at me and is saying my pain is pre existing. So I went to a new orthopedist. I had found I had impact damage and alot of exploded capillaries which was causing me pain from the accident . I did find out I had arthritis although that was not the location of my pain. I also had my hip seen right away by my new Dr. Where I found out that I have torn tissue in the labrum of my hip. In 2 weeks I found out everything I needed to know about my injuries with my new Dr. And was neglected by Dr. Bochner for months . It is now the end of March 2016 and I am finally getting the treatment I need. I do not recommend Dr.Bochner to anyone. He took no interest in me as a patient and made me feel like a liar.
