I saw Dr. Bochner for unbearable pain in both my upper arms. He took x-rays which indicated arthritis. Physical therapy was suggested without assurances. The doctor was very attentive, professional, and answered all my questions. I asked for 2 cortisone shots which he gave me and I have not had any pain in my arms since. Any doctor who can help you get rid of such horrific pain is a great doctor in my book.
I went to Dr. Bochner for a 2nd opinion. He took X-rays & I had a CD to give him of an MRI of my imaging. He essentially told me he has no clue what to do about my right shoulder and I said if I was your son what would you tell him to do and he simply said to go to a different doctor. Never in my life have I gone to a doctor and had them tell me that they have no clue what to do and to go see someone else.
Very poor. He represented the insurance carrier, not me as patient… no question.
I was discharged from LIJ hospital and was told to see an orthopedic as an outpatient and so I scheduled a visit. After meeting Dr. Bochner, he suggested that I have to see a rheumatologist. There was a team of rheumatologists in the hospital and they scanned and examined me, but they could find any problem related to their domain and therefore they told me to see an orthopedic. It was also clearly mentioned in my discharge papers.I brought this fact to the doctor and he did not say anything. Later, he suggested giving another orthopedic doctor's appointment. I was not able to walk and somehow spent my 2 hours in the facility only to be told to go somewhere else.
I was with contact of the doctor for 5 minutes after 1 hour and 45 minutes after completing all the procedure to visit. Please schedule the doctor after reading the reviews. If you call the contact to schedule an orthopedic with Northwell Health, they will by default schedule him, so please do not fall in this trap.
Horrible experience,This place is just after your copay and to charge your insurance for tests that are unnecessary. For every little thing they force you to come into the clinic and sit there for hours to see a doctor for 2 minutes for something he could have done over the phone.
Went in for a visit in regards to pain in my shoulders.Barely did a test and scheduled an unnecessary X-ray (insurance scam)Then wrote me up for physical therapy. After my sessions expired i called to get an extension and he sent a script for 4 week extension (the physical therapy office did not have appointments for 3 weeks at that point so i only got one more session). When i called to get an extension- they claim i need to go back for evaluation. The physical therapy was helping so much and now im stuck waiting for an appointment for 2 months because he wants to charge my insurance to do nothing but write a referral and scam me for another copay.Use a better doctor. There are those out there who actually understand and try to help instead of just pull you in and waste your time for $15 copays.
I went to get a 2nd opinion on my broken toe and was highly recommend but ended up being disappointed. Took a new X-ray even though I had take few days prior, that I don’t mind but what I did not appreciate was I wasn’t looked at thoroughly or give much input after I told him the history of the injury and what I was told by the first Doctor. You’d expect a lot more from highly experienced and seasoned Doctor, he was nice man but that’s not what this rating is about it’s about the care I was given.
I went to see Dr. Buchner with terrible hip pain. He took X-rays and told me that I had arthritis. I was not surprised to hear that I had arthritis, but I knew that arthritis could not be causing me the pain I was experiencing. I asked him to please send me for an MRI and he told me that it wasn’t necessary. Needless to say, I got another opinion, was sent for an MRI and found out that I had tendinosis and tears in my gluteus minimus. I would not recommend this doctor!
I have used Dr Bochner for over 20 years..he did surgery on both my knees and rebuilt my shoulder after tearing my rotator cuff and tearing my muscle in my bicep. He is very thorough and an excellent surgeon. When I broke my thumb in 7 places, he sent me to a hand surgeon..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
