Richard L Deluca's Online Review Report Card

First of all, Dr DeLuca is incredible. However, I have been trying for over three months to get the prescription he recommended for me with no avail. I was first put in touch with Capsul and they couldnt get ahold of anyone in the office, I've now resorted to calling the office nearly every day, with only one successful call. The person I spoke with said they'd call in my prescription to CVS and then CVS called to tell me they needed more information from my doctors office. I am going in circles and it's so frustrating. I was supposed to have a follow up 3 months after my appointment but had to cancel as I haven't been able to even try the prescription. PLEASE can someone get in touch with me and help me get my prescription? I don't know how else to get in touch or what to do. I promise to delete this review is someone just calls me back and helps me solve this issue. Thank you.

I needed someone to see me for an emergency visit. They were able to get me in and the care was great. Good to know about this office.

Not a recent visit. I'm a longstanding patient, and I've found the Doctor to be attentive, imformative, very knowledgeable, and always concerned with my care. He's the best.

Dr. DeLuca's waiting room is extremely small and overcrowded. I feel this office overbooks leaving the patients stressed and unwelcomed.

Good doctor, not crazy about the office staff or the office itself. Scheduling could be better. Dr. Deluca himself is good and I would recommend him

Dr.  DeLuca is okay, however, his assistant Lea needs an attitude adjustment she talks to the front desk staff and patients with disdain. I felt very disrespected and was never spoken to the way she spoke to me when he was in the 17th Street & 2nd Avenue office. Let's see what happens on my next visit.

Extremely professional and took the time to explain his findings,diagnosis, and treatment options. Made me feel like I was part of the decision making process. Highly recommend him. Saw him twice...once at Upper east side office and once at Gramercy office. Upper east side office is a bit nicer, but he does most procedures and high tech testing at the larger gramercy office, but wait is definitely longer there.

I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. DeLuca perform cataract surgery on each of my eyes, about 4 months apart. This is routine surgery for an ophthalmologist but there was nothing rote about his communications or his treatment of me. He was clear, patient, and thorough in explaining my options, and flexible in helping me sort them out. He welcomed and answered all of my questions at every stage and was completely supportive of my decision making process. With the help of his talented coworker, optometrist Harold Arras, I was able to try out several different combinations of contact lenses to approximate different post-op vision results. At my request Dr. Deluca asked a former patient with some similar visual issues to call and tell me about her experience. By the time I reached a decision I trusted Dr. Deluca 100%, and thiscontinued through the surgery itself and followup.He explained what was happening all during the operation, which included beautiful kaleidoscopic effects.I am very grateful for the eyesight I have now, still seeing things in my surroundings that I had never seen. I would recommend Dr. Deluca to anyone needing help with their eyes.
