I recently became a patient of Dr. Schutzer. I had seen another vascular previously. The first Doctor incorrectly diagnosed my issue and nonchalantly threw his hands up. Dr. Schutzer gave the correct ultra sounds which gave the correct diagnosis. He is a very confident, capable. And friendly doctor who I highly recommend. Great staff all in all.

Haven't been yet. After calling my PC Doctor to get referral faxed so I can call and set up appt, I called and spoke to receptionist who said just spoke with clinic. I told her I was was in unexplainable excruciating pain and would need an appt asap. She repeatedly kept saying she would call me to set up an appt on Mon, 09/23/2019 and the time was 3PM on Fri, 09/20/2019. Talk about EXTREMELY RUDE & SEEMINGLY NON CARING!! It definitely showed in her arrogant voice!! She was sooo eager to get me off the phone!!

I went to see Dr Schutzer Sept 2017 at 5141 B'way location Manhattan. I waited 1 hr to see him.Then he came into examining room seemed very uninterested. I was there for a varicose vein that was giving me problems. He then sent me to get a Duplex ultrasound. When That test was completed. I waited another 40 min and was then told the Dr Had to leave and he will call you tomorrow that never happened. I have been a registered nurse since 1980. This is no way to treat a Patient

Bedside manner still exists. What a thoughtful, competent and compassionate surgeon, who communicates in a respectful and thorough fashion. Highly recommend if your condition warrants surgical intervention.

I have been on dialysis for 30 years. I've been involved with many surgeon's for a variety of reasons. He is without question the best of all of them. He is caring with top notch skills. I would and have recommended him to other people. The only problem that gets 1 star is when he moved to Columbia Presbyterian he received a staff of people who are very nice on the phone and in person. Their problem lies in their inability to return your call even after they promise to.

Dr. Schutzer is an excellent physician. He is not only skilled in his profession but caring and compassionate. This is a rare combination in the medical field today. I would highly recommend him.
