Their billing/finance dept is absolutely the worst! Poor to no response. Constant mistakes, ie sending bills for procedures that were already for paid for, not submitting claims to your insurance company, double charges for same visits. You have to do their jobs for them. Very infuriating especially when you have to be relaxed and stress free, their billing them makes it impossible.
Dr Lucky was absolutely awesome and the team at RMA was outstanding. I had a great experience and would highly recommend them to anyone !
They are very unprofessional. I reached out many times after our first visit and never called me back. They submit to my insurance that I did a treatment that I never did and was not even discussed that we will do as a patient and now looks like I did it to my insurance records when it is not true and they are unresponsive.
They over charged us by $3,000 and are doing EVERYTHING to not refund us. We have been trying to get refunded for the past 7 months, and they just completely stopped responding to our emails. We have called and they don’t call back, the call drops… I think of them as a business only and an unethical one, not really a company that cares about your reproductive health.
I had a very disappointing experience at RMA of New York Downtown. My OB recommended the clinic, but unfortunately, the whole process was a disaster from an administrative standpoint. I can’t speak about the doctors since I didn’t undergo any treatments there — I got pregnant naturally — but I did visit a few times for lab tests, and those visits were enough to leave a very negative impression. Here’s what stood out: Extremely long wait times: You can end up waiting for hours. On one of my three visits, they even forgot to check me in. I waited over two hours before realizing it, and no one apologized when the mistake was finally caught. Poor communication about insurance coverage: Please explicitly ask the team to confirm whether your tests are covered by your insurance. In my case, no one informed me of anything upfront — which I found unusual since I have excellent insurance and assumed they'd handle it. Later, I received a huge bill that I ultimately had to pay out of pocket. Unresponsive and unhelpful billing staff: When I called, the representative assured me she would speak with the finance office and follow up, but nothing was ever done. I sent multiple emails that were completely ignored. Going through fertility-related appointments is already stressful enough, but being treated as if you’re just an ATM is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic.
Called on Monday to book a time for blood draw. They said they’ll call me back. Same thing on Tuesday. Same thing (twice) on Wednesday. Same thing on Thursday. Then they called back and said a form was missing. Why didn’t you say this on Monday? We filled out the form 5 mins after that call. And nothing. I called again on Thursday evening, they said they’ll call back. Surprise, surprise, no one called back. And now it’s Friday. Nothing. Save your time and energy, go somewhere else.
Horrible experience with RMA top to bottom. Clinically was over medicated resulting in a very low egg count and an unsuccessful round. Switched to Cornell and was successful on the first round. Their admin is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. They are backed by private equity and often felt like money was more important than patients. Was charged for procedures that didn’t occur and had to stay on top of all bills to ensure that didn’t happen again. Made an Already stressful situation worse. Rescheduled my husbands surgery the day before he was supposed to go in because they had overscheduled the OR. Take on too many patients without care for existing patients. Would not recommend in any capacity.
Cold and Disorganized Accounting Department During the Most Difficult Time My experience with RMA of New York’s accounting department was extremely disappointing, especially given the circumstances. I was navigating fertility treatment while also supporting my husband through cancer treatment — a time that was already emotionally and financially overwhelming. Unfortunately, the billing team added unnecessary stress to an already fragile situation. I encountered repeated errors in our billing. I called and emailed multiple times and never once received a response from their so-called “Finance Team Lead for Downtown Office.” Every attempt to get clarity felt like a runaround — no follow-through, no accountability, and absolutely no compassion. It felt like we were just another account number in their system. For a clinic that promotes itself as patient-centered, the financial side showed a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. Fertility treatment is hard enough. Add in cancer, and the last thing anyone should be dealing with is billing chaos and total radio silence from the finance team. RMA’s doctors are excellent, but their accounting department seriously needs a reevaluation of their processes — and a reminder that behind every invoice is a real family going through something incredibly difficult.
I just called to get some information about pricing, and they told me I need to set up an account for this. That's crazy:) They’re leading in "How to lose a potential client "
It has been more than five years and I am still hurt, ashamed and saddened by the weight discrimination, othering and denial of treatment I received at this clinic when I was attempting to get pregnant. I was told I would not be treated at all until I achieved their goal weight for me. I was sent to see a nutritionist at this office who I felt was condescending, among other things telling me a smoothie was not a healthy choice because fruits are carbs. I was ultimately never treated for fertility issues here, went to Cornell and before I could even began treatment, got pregnant on my own. I guess my weight wasn’t the issue after all. As it turns out, larger patients have lower success rates and some clinics like to exclude us to boost their overall success rate. I would not recommend this clinic.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
