My wife met with a freak accident that required her to undergo emergency surgery. Our initial concerns about moving ahead with what was prescribed orthopedic procedure quickly evaporated after Dr. Christian met with us, explained to us what would happen during the three hour surgery and answered with great patience several of our questions. The surgery was a great success and my wife is slowly getting back on her feet thanks to the post operative care that we have been getting from Dr. Christian. Over the last 20 years I have been in the USA, I must confess I have never come across a doctor who not only knows his craft so well, but is down to earth, personable and compassionate. Columbia University is fortunate to have such a star orthopedic surgeon - and we the people of New York City are super lucky to have such a young gifted doctor amongst us

I flew from Cancun back to NYC after a rogue wave slammed me on the shore and I broke by tibia. After a long wait at the NY Presbytarian I was truly blessed with a wonderful surgeon, Dr. Robert Christian, who not only helped me with my trauma and my fear of surgery but did a wonderful job in fixing my knee. Every time I return from a visit with him, I feel so upbeat about my recovery. He spends so much time with me, helps me get over my mental barriers, pushes me to do my PT and even calls me to make sure I am making the right decisions. I may have had some bad luck but I was truly blessed to have such a capable and caring doctor.

Dr. Christian was very kind and attentive during my first appointment with him, and he gave me a very thorough orthopedic exam. I am hopeful now of moving forward with his help to solve my problems of injury and pain.
