Robert Moraru's Online Review Report Card

My wife had a skin lesion and was scared. Dr. Moraru barely touched it before mentioning it was an acne cyst. He gave an injection there and started upselling treatment for some marks that were there on her face. He said it will go away in 48 hours. Lo and behold it was still there after 4 days. We had to go to another doctor to get it checked because he was not available to see her again. Update: It was a swollen lymph node. Any doctor with some experience should be able to figure it out. They sldo charged $400 for the wrong treatment they provided.

Doctor Moraro is just perfect, straight forward, I went to see him due a warts and some other stuff that I had in my head and in 2 sessions all these horrible things had disappeared, I do recommend him.

I was seeing Dr. Moraru for many years and my acne went away. During this time he was attentive, supportive and paid attention to what I was saying. As time went on he would modify my treatment based on new more effective medications and my needs. At some point my acne disappeared so I stopped seeing him. Fast forward, I have seen 3 different dermatologists since him and none of them have been able to help me or hear me the way he did. Because of this I am back seeing him again after 4 years and he is exactly the same. I highly recommend Dr. Moraru. I go to the financial district office.

First appointment with Dr. Moraru was virtual where he prescribed me 3 medications in a less than 5 min conversation. With no instruction, I ended up getting pill esophagitis (very painful ulcers in esophagus). Then, I took a 45 min taxi in the city to see Dr. Moraru in person. He entered the room, looked at my skin for a total of 3 seconds and asked what happened. I explained and said I need a new plan... his response was "I see improvement, lets keep taking what you are taking and come back in 30 days" then left the room.... WHAT!? I got pill esophagitis, took a day off from work, spent over $100 to commute to this Dr and another 50 for the appointment and he only gave me around 60-120 seconds of his time!? That said, if you are looking for Dermatologist who will be consultative and spend time developing a treatment plan for you, this is not your guy. If Dr. Moraru reads this, I hope this helps in your future practice with actually helping your patients get the treatment they need.

He is caring, kind, and thorough. I’ve been under Dr. Moraru’s care at Schweiger Dermatology Group for two years now. The office is well managed, which adds to the overall sense of professionalism. I’d definitely recommend his practice.

Dr. Moraru was great! I had to get a skin cancer screening and I was dreading it. The last one I did, the doctor made me feel like I was an annoyance and a waste of his time, as though he'd rather be doing cosmetic procedures than checking a middle aged woman for moles. But Dr. Moraru was kind, put me at ease, answered all my questions, didn't make me wait in a paper dress for a half an hour before he came in, and had a great manner about him. Also, his assistant was lovely and took care. The office staff were helpful and kind. The wait time was minimal. I have to go back periodically and I know that I will be in and out in a normal amount of time without feeling bad about the experience.

Dr. Moraru is very knowledgeable and professional. The office space is a bit cramped but the staff is very friendly and attentive. The doctor always seems rushed other than that I would strongly recommend this doctor.

He always prescribes the same medicine that never helps and tells to come in two weeks. He was doing that to me for several years then I changed my doctor and got prescribed another medicine that helped me right away. They schedule five people at the same time so you have to wait long hours which is irritating. Find some other dermatologist. He can advertise himself very well but does not worth a penny as a doctor.
